I also think Cindy hopes Casey will hear these comments....it's part of her control that she has always had over Casey & Caylee.

Oh I wish we would hear more from freinds about Casey & her mom's relationship.

I'm thinking there's plenty of dirt to be dished on Casey, and grandma is desperate to keep it from getting out.

There are only so many ways to dance around the answer to "What the hell did your daughter do with her baby?"

You'd think if the "babysitter" angle was legit, Cindy would be all over the news giving information about who to be looking for. LE hasn't indicated that there's even a POI being looked for.

Instead, we get some vague comment about Caylee being with someone Casey trusted.

For crying out loud, WHO IS IT?

Megan will be interviewing the investigators and few more ref this case. Right after Obama i believe. I know it will be shortly. I do hope they have some new info. I also hope Megan speaks her mind about GM. I'm sure she will as she hardly (I would actually say never) ever holds back.

I'm pretty sure she is so insistent about not talking about Casey because she is so ashamed at the daughter she raised. You know the saying.. 'birds of a feather...

I would also like to add that I can't figure out for the life of me why Cindy is so insistent about not talking about Casey in her interviews....If she really wants to find her grandchild, why doesn't she understand that talking about Casey's whereabouts, behavior, etc will be extremely helpful in finding Caylee??? I just don't get why she thinks there's no relevance between the two.

Welcome, Annette. You make a good point about how last names are used in Spanish cultures.

I think at least one of the investigators is Latino, and since this is happening in Florida they're probably used to cross-referencing last names because of the large Latino population.

It must be particularly frustrating because these are all common names. I wonder if they've established that there is indeed a connection between someone named 'Zenaida' and Casey, or if this is just one more of her lies.

At any rate, pull up a chair and set a spell (My God, I'm channeling Granny Clampett at 6 in the morning... someone stop me!)

I am curious just how long can they keep her in jail on these obstruction & child neglect charges??? I say forever but I don't think that is possible.....so at some point wont the have to let her out?? I guess if there is bond set she would be out until her court date for the obstruction & child neglect charges and if they don't set bond she will wait in jail until her court appreance.

7-18-08 Channel 9 has learned investigators came back to square one again Friday afternoon and searched for possible evidence at the place where Caylee Marie Anthony's mother had, for some reason, abandoned her car earlier this week.

Eyewitness News has learned there was a stench in the car, which could indicate evidence of a body, but sources said investigators don't have any more than that to go on and they haven't figured out what the stench was from.

How do you knwo she is being held on a mental health hold??? If so then why are they giving her a bond hearing??? I am curious and want to learn more about the process.

Here in MN they can only hold you for 72 hours and then after that you can leave and that is usually in hospital.

I was appalled to hear this attorney refer to the Orlando
Police as "mindless".
He said when they recommended Casey be held without bail,

I haven't yet heard a statement from LE saying that the Grandparents were not cooperating......so maybe she just dodging it in the media and is really just trying to keep Caylee's picture out there in hopes of finding her.......Just a thought

My thoughts this morning...

On grandpa -- maybe he's the only one in this family that sees things as they are (the voice of reason). :clap: Perhaps he's called Casey out on occasion on how she's doing things (partying; raising Caylee; no job; basic decision making skills), making him the bad guy to both gma & Casey (because gma doesn't want to face the truth either). The fact that he initially thought Casey was lying about what happened to Caylee speaks volumes... and I'm sure gma wasn't too happy that he said that to the officers either.

On grandma -- total control freak. She probably has something to hide so maybe that's why she's defending Casey so hard... so Casey won't spill the beans on whatever. Either way, she is making herself look like a total joke. :bang: Why is it so hard for her to answer questions instead of running the show?!?

And wouldn't gma know *all* the babysitters that Casey had? I can't see someone being as controlling as her allowing Caylee to stay with some random person off the street. If there was a Z, she would know who she was and exactly where she lived. JMHO.

And Casey... you aren't the victim here -- sweet, beautiful Caylee is. Now it's time for YOU to step up to the plate and tell the TRUTH. :behindbar
