No excuse for this piece of crap man, none whatsoever. If what the anonymous poster says on the blog is true, it pretty much confirms what I've suspected all along. There are thousands of miles and thousands of places to dump a body between Florida and New York. I can only hope and pray that she will be recovered for the sake of her family and friends.

Interview refused again by missing cadet's boyfriend

The request was made once again this week to David Perry, the former corrections officer who was dating missing police cadet Kelly Rothwell before she vanished nearly a month ago on March 12th.

This week, Pinellas detectives made another official request for an interview via Perry's attorney. It was refused yet again.

Perry has repeatedly declined to talk about his girlfriend's sudden and strange disappearance. He's also refused to give a DNA sample.

Doesn't sound like he can be anymore guilty does it? Poor Kelly.
 
I will say that Kelly has some very dedicated and tenacious friends that are posting on Facebook. It seems like every time I check there, they are calling out the BF to talk...
 
INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Florida -- As time passes more information is released about the man who left town within hours of his live-in girlfriend’s disappearance last month.

Kelly Rothwell, 35, met David Perry, 46, while waiting in line at a Sweet Tomatoes restaurant. Within three weeks Perry moved from his home in N.Y. to live with Kelly at her Indian Rocks Beach lakefront condo in Florida. The view they had was spectacular.

Son of missing cadet's boyfriend arrested

Indian Rocks Beach, Florida - He's the ex-boyfriend who is at the center of an investigation involving a missing Indian Rocks Beach police cadet, Kelly Rothwell. Early Friday morning, his son was arrested after trying to defend him.

David Richard Perry, who is 21 years old and shares the same name as his father, is accused of fighting and yelling with people at an Indian Rocks Beach bar because of accusations they were making about his father.

Yes, she thinks he killed Kelly. She knows he did. He's very very evil. She used to call him Satan because that's who he is.

She says he has a history of violence with women...

Choked her, put a gun to her head, cheated on her with their friends, babysitters... punched her in the stomach while she was pregnant (allegedly causing her to miscarry...)

Threatened to kill their children...

If she hadn't left him she feels she would be dead...

She believes Kelly's body is in upstate New York, he used to hunt up there and there are many places she could be.

For now, Perry remains in Elmira, New York.

He is said to be hanging out at home and going out to eat alone. "His friends do not want to spend time anymore with him. They know what he did," Greenfield says.

"He told someone at a bar that she was killed by her ex-boyfriend," says Greenfield. "That was just a week ago."
 
I hope this case isn't going cold yet. I want this guy to be caught. He knows something and nobody should get away with something like this. Justice needs to be served.:maddening:
 
Thanks so much liltexas. I just looked earlier today for any updates on Kelly but found nothing so I'm glad you came across this. I hope they are able to find her and I hope there is a ton of evidence against him that they can arrest him and convict him.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Kelly L. Rothwell, 35, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday March 12,2011 as she had lunch with a friend at a restaurant in Pinellas County. An investigation began on Sunday when another friend asked deputies to check on Rothwell at her home where she lives with her boyfriend, 46-year-old David Perry. The friend was concerned for Rothwell’s safety due to “domestic issues” the couple had been experiencing, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Rothwell, who has not returned repeated calls to her cell phone from friends and relatives, did not show up for class Monday at the Pinellas Police Academy in St. Petersburg. Since starting the program in November, she has not missed a day, authorities said.

Perry, who is a retired corrections officer, has since traveled to New York, but is refusing to talk to police, He has not been charged.

Police found no signs of Rothwell or Perry during a search of their residence on Sunday,March 13,2011. Rothwell’s abandoned car — a green 2007 Subaru Outback — was found later Sunday March 13,2011 about two miles away.

Her case remains unsolved.
