Missing woman's ex-husband faces domestic abuse charge

A Scott County man who’s the last person known to have seen 26-year-old Nina Rae Keown before she disappeared faces efforts in two counties to send him to prison for allegedly violating probation by being charged with domestic abuse against her.

Robert Petty, 31, has been named as a person of interest in the Aug. 7 disappearance of his ex-wife. He is due in Scott Superior Court next week for proceedings on the abuse charge that was filed in April and a motion to revoke his probation on a 2009 battery conviction.

But Scott County Prosecutor Jason Mount said Wednesday that he might not be able to proceed on those matters without Keown.

The ex lives on the road where nina went 'missing' Have they searched his property? Are there any wells around, or rivers/lakes/septic tanks?

Almost forgot, I found a myspace for nina. She said she was joining the military. There was no date on the myspace page so i'm not sure when it was written. http://www.myspace.com/npetty2007

Criminals are so stupid to think that they can get away with this. The ex is to appear in Superior Court next week, a case that nina brought on the ex. Prosecutor needed her to be there. We all know where this is gonna end up.

SCOTTSBURG, IN (WAVE) - A Scott County, IN man has now been identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of his ex-wife.

26-year-old Nina Rae Keown was last seen August 7 on her way to a music festival in Scott County. 31-year-old Robert Petty was the last person known to have seen the mother of two.

Petty is due in court next week on a domestic abuse charge filed in April and a motion to revoke his probation on a 2009 battery conviction.

Police seek ex-husband of missing Scott Co. woman

Scott County, Ind. (WDRB-TV Fox 41) -- He was the last person to see her, and now police are looking for the ex-husband of a missing Scott County, Indiana woman.

Nina Keown has been missing since August 7th. Officers on horseback searched fields and woods for any new clues Thursday night.

Now police are looking for Keown's former husband, 31-year-old Robert Petty, on an unrelated arrest warrant from Clark County. Investigators also call him "a person of interest" in his ex-wife's disappearance.

Petty is due in court in Scottsburg next week on a charge of domestic abuse against Keown. A $10,000 dollar reward is being offered for information that leads to Nina Keown.

I was just wondering the same thing.

I thought about capturing the pic and blowing it up to be sure it was not just a shadow from his glasses but since you see it too I won't bother. Thanks.
