I think the comments are at the top now... at least the first two seem to match (both the poster's names and how interesting the comments are!)

I'm not sure if 'seethrough' really knows all this or is just trying to sound like someone who knows things... It does sound convincing...
i have no idea what Carlee may have really been involved in, but I agree with Auntr when s/he says no one deserves to have this happen to them...

I hope they are able to get the location of Carlee's body out of these two and give her family some small measure of peace...

I agree. The people who miss Carlee do not miss her more or less based on what she was involved in at the time, or the mistakes she made or the achievements she accomplished.They miss her because they love her.
 
I just read over the articles and comments.
I can only think, it does not matter if Carlee had any kind of
'dark' past.
It doesn't matter at all.
It matters that two men took her life.

And am I missing something? I have not read the names or seen pics of
the two men who confessed to her murder.
Why wouldn't LE release this info?

My prayers for Carlee's family and friends.
 
Westland resident Justin Lee Yoshikawa, 19, and Nicholas Jay Cottrell, 22, of Taylor were both arraigned Tuesday in Westland 18th District Court on charges of first-degree murder in the death of Carlee Jade Morse, 16. Cottrell is also charged as a fourth-degree habitual offender. Not guilty pleas were entered for both men, who are being held without bond.

Summer time. Teenagers. Most of those I know stay up as late as possible whenever they can. Why she had to go outside to call, I don't know. Maybe they had a small apartment, and mom/daughter would step outside to get privacy? Or she had a call to make that she didn't want her mom to overhear, as in she was talking about something illegal or against house rules.

Not sure I would be happy to have a 16 year old hanging out with a 19 year old. But I don't know any of them, so my opinion is moot.
 
how terrible. RIP poor girl. I lived in westland for a long time. tis been awhile but even looking at google maps didnt much jog my memory as to the area. westland has some disturbingly trashy areas. I can only imagine it's gotten worse as MI is dying its painful death. the ugliest things I ever saw while a resident of my home state were in westland, ecourse etc and not detroit itself.

One commenter indicated this woman gave false information to the police and pressured a witness to not answer questions. She is NC's mother, from what the posters said.

It's an old article, but there are lots of comments, which have insight. Many posters were saying they thought the two suspects were covering up for something, and one poster said that CM's boyfriend disappeared the same day she did, and the poster thought they had run away and that the two suspects were covering for them. Why has there been no mention of her missing boyfriend in the media? Hmmm.

In addition, the video connected to this article has some new information added. JY, the 19 year old suspect, has a girlfriend who was being questioned. She is pregnant. She said he disappeared about a month ago, and reappeared the day he was detained. She says she knows nothing.

I saw the video from Fox on my Comcast webpage this morning.
NC's mom is a piece of work, huh? Guess we don't have to wonder why this grown young man living with momma was allowed to do illegal shenanigans all of the time. Talk about being an enabler.

JY and NC's friends have started FB pages supporting them.
Court is awaiting DNA testing on evidence found in NC's car, and for phone records.
Police believe JY and NC told friends about the murder, and that those friends are keeping quiet. They would like for them to come forward. Police are confident they have CM's killers.

In the video, good footage of CM's sister calling it like it is. Good for her.

Thanks georgiajean. I saw that page earlier this morning. I meant to link it, but for some reason I just didn't want more people giving it traffic. The person who runs JY's page is clearly a girl...Alyssa....and she is 'very good friends' with JY. She and several others are just adamant that he did nothing wrong because he's always been so nice to them.

Even his confession of killing Carlee isn't enough to convince them of his guilt. On a bright note, Carlee's friends and family frequent that page and have no problem telling them off for their exteme insensitivity.
