For those that are interested, you can google map middlesex road, grosse pointe park, mi to see how secluded their street is. Some random wouldn't go that deep into a wealthy suburb to carjack or murder a suburbanite when there are many many huge homes closer to the main thoroughfare (being jefferson ave).

Prior reporting was just saying "sources," although one would assume it came from the police. If they're being so clear that he's their only suspect, I'm guessing they have good reason.

Seems like he'd be a suicide risk, but maybe I don't follow enough of these cases to understand the likelihood of that.
 
I have to agree on the picture-- veeery interesting choice---and yes the media is very intentional.

If he is a true narcissist, the odds of him commiting suicide are slim to none.
 
It's odd that Jane Bashara's FB page doesn't list her as married and says she's interesed in men. I'm sure LE is aware.

Just my opinion and experience---
As a FB user, I also say I am interested in men, although not dating. I like to be identified as heterosexual.
If her husband is a landlord, it makes sense to me-- as a previous renter for 20 years, in 12 apartments, 4 slumlords--- I can attest to wanting to distance myself from his name--we (renters) can be merciless when we have a problem--- Just my opinion.
 
Good point, Cinci! I was thinking more along the lines of motive for spousal retalliation. However, her husband mentioned a possible correlation between the recent call girl/website killings in Detroit when he was talking about his wife's untimely demise.

If Jane Bashara is anything like me, she might have left her FB page open when she left for work giving access to her husband to change her profile information. My husband accidently posted a youtube song on my page thinking he was logged into his own. LOL

Sounds plausible that Mr. Bashara might have changed her status. JMO

thanks for posting. It was interesting to see him speak. He had much trouble getting out that police were questioning people closest to her (home?) then spreading out.. seems like he defended himself 3 times in the short interveiw.---I don't like that he was wearing sunglasses... I watched the second video, and those other women (the one he references) is bizarre because his wife was in the backseat, not the trunk...
 
yes, lauriej, thanks for posting that. Interesting comment...kind of makes me wonder if he planned to put her in the trunk to make it look like part of the serial killings.

Yes, I know he's not even been arrested, let alone proven guilty. Just my gut feelings and opinion here.

BBM: my wife has her's set as "interested in men" for the same reason. When I first saw it and teased her about it, she said "Well I'm not interested in women". She spends little time on the internet and is always asking me what certain terms mean that most of us would know.
