Anguished family members of a missing Hudson County man last seen at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort pleaded Monday for his return, hours after Atlantic City police said he was added to the FBI's National Crime Information Center database as a missing person.
Martin Caballerro, 47, of North Bergen Township, was last seen about to park his car at 10:30 p.m. Friday, just after he dropped off his wife at the hotel entrance. He was expected to park his 2009 white Lincoln MKS and join his family at the casino for his daughter Jessica's 22nd birthday celebration.
During a news conference Monday at the Taj Mahal, family members said they believe he was carjacked or taken against his will, and they begged for his safety.

Caballerro often parked his car away from others to protect it, Cruz said. "My mom was telling me that a lot of times, when they come (to the Taj Mahal), they park in a secluded area away from other cars because he didn't want his baby to get scratched. He loves his car, and she would always tell him it's kind of dangerous to park it so far away. He would reply, Nothing is going to happen to me. Nothing is going to happen.'"
Cruz said the family verified with the casino that Caballerro swiped his casino rewards card to park, but that was the last he was seen on the property.

Capt. David Harkins, of the Gloucester Township Police Department in Camden County, said officers found Caballero's Lincoln badly burned about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. There was no body inside, and the fire was ruled arson by the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office, Harkins said.
About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Cruz said, her brother in North Bergen received a phone call from the police about the burned-out car. Harkins said his department contacted someone Saturday morning to find the owner of the car, but "at the time, we didn't know the person had been listed
