Wasn't there mention of the document originating in the USA? I think the judge even commented that the jurors did not need material from overseas jurisdictions.

Yes the confiscated one wasn't Australian. alioop provided a link for the authorised one available to this jury.

I hear a sound like that sometimes like a clash of metal.
It could be exploding head syndrome.

Perhaps Allison had done her nails, but the polish wore off when exposed to the elements for eleven days.

I feel if her nails were protected from the elements, (hidden in the sleeves) with a good brand nail polish should easily last the 11 days. Of course unless it was still drying when she was attacked.
Just a hunch.
Where's Doc Watson when we need him!! Doc, did I read somewhere fingernails last a long time and appear to keep growing on a deceased person??

"There is pink nail polish on the fingernails, which is worn and absent in areas".

I was just wondering, I have never seen it written that GBC grabbed Flegg by the shirt or got physical, when he asked him to step outside that CC meeting - Flegg didn't say it in court, did I miss it in his statement?

It is definitely out there somewhere. I will look for if.

Just one small thing - Gerred isn't paying his defence team. We, the taxpayers are paying for it as he is the recipient of legal aid, which I guess he's entitled to.

Somehow he managed to gain the service of one of our best silks on Legal Aide. Wonder what would draw such a silk to this case? The publicity? Certainly not the legal aide money?

More interesting reading from the best book I have ever purchased -

http://samvak.tripod.com/narcissismself.html

"Narcissists cannot delay gratification. They are creatures of the here and now, because they feel boundlessly entitled. When forced to specialise or persist, they feel stagnation and "death". It is not a matter of choice but a structural constraint. This is the way a narcissist is built, this is his modus operandi, and his vacillating style of life and dizzying array of activities are written into his operations manual.
As a direct result, the narcissist cannot form a stable marital relationship, or reasonably devote himself to his family, or maintain an on going business, or reside in one place for long, or dedicate himself to a single profession or to one career, or complete his academic studies, or accumulate material wealth.
Narcissists are often described as indolent, labile, unstable, unreliable, unable and unwilling to undertake long-term commitments and obligations, or to maintain a job, or a career path. The narcissist's life is characterised by jerky, episodic careers, relationships, marriages, and domiciles. He is volatile, erratic, flexible, and ephemeral."

I don't want to know anything personal about the jurors, but man...what an idiot.

Good question AAAA. The only thing which immediately springs to my mind is transport (the further afield, the harder/costlier it might be to adequately staff/stock the joint? and for relative proximity to centres of justice i.e. clients?).

But then we had Dennis Ferguson paedophile? At Wolston I believe.? To have a jail and a jail farm so close to homes and schools etc, I just don't get it. Bring back Boggo Road I think. I know it's antiquated but spruce it up a little and re- use that space. It's JAIL not a holiday camp!

That it has, I'll never forget that first time I saw him on tv with his sister in the little bit hurt interview, your kidding I said to myself, this guy has bumped her off......

Yes a long time coming Troops......

I'll be honest...I'll be so so happy when he is locked away for the rest of his life, I grieved for Allison a long time ago, now I want retribution for her, for her children, for her parents and for her friends and for all her friends on here and other places that she never met.

I want him and the rest of them to feel pain and suffering for being so callous in snuffing out a life that was not theirs to snuff out and then to attempt to snuff out her memory in the same way to protect their own sorry asses from facing justice.

I have nothing but contempt for him, for them, and for their self righteous attitude.

I vote turning the pineapple sideways ....what say you Troops ;)

Hello Greg. Pleased to meet you.
Good post. I too thought this guy had "bumped her off."
Greg, I am assuming you are a male .......
I came to the same conclusion ....
Not using words like ..... "This guy has bumped her off..."
I used words like ....."This guy is lying about something."
And ; RED FLAG alert
Something is not right here.
Oh, I do wish the Jurers could view that video.

It still defies my belief that prisoners with sentences like murder or armed robbery are housed in a jail so close to suburbia. Particularly with all the new development around Wolston. The jails should be in the middle of nowhere. God knows there is so much space in each of our states to do this. So why? Less government spending? Welcome your thoughts everyone. I'm sure there must be an answer I haven't considered?

Hardened crims, murderers and pedophiles should be housed in the Simpson dessert. Firstly put them inside a big high fence, secondly give them good soil and water to grow their own food, they can live on ferrel pigs and rabbits and then give them bricks and tin to build and fend for themselves. Oh and a shovel and some stinging nettles for toilet.
They want to murder and rape, good, they can murder and rape each other.
I'm sick to the stomach to think a pedophile gets better treatment than our pensioners.

Is that the answer to your question AAAA or would like the harsh version? :/

Could it be that A being sent a text "woke" (very technical I know, I mean the screen lighting up and the SMS being registered) her phone up and it somehow connected to the internet?

Still catching up so apologies if this was answered on later pages but if they both had iPhones then yes they could have been using iMessage for texts which uses the Internet.

Thanks for all the updates today. I was driving on the freeway today when heard on the radio about the jury member.........nearly ran off the road.......how stupid can you be! :tantrum:

Did the jury member google 'taking the fifth' or 'self incrimination' or 'crime scene'.
Obviously he/she is just as stupid as the defendant. :(

You know I was thinking and in proposing what could have happened to Allison the defence would have come up with the best alternative scenario to murder they could think of to suggest to the jury. That the best they could come up with was so ridiculous makes me even moreso think he did it and there's no reasonable alternative to what happened.

In no way attempting to emulate Alioop, just that I'm here for one more minute before my self-imposed curfew and can answer your pertinent question with two quick links:

Wonder if it was this Wisconsin guide the juror downloaded? It comes up early when you google about how to approach deliberations, and is temptingly simple and clear to a person daft enough not to realise it might not be entirely relevant to a juror in another country. Especially one who has been directed by a judge not to look up things on the internet!

I'm quite surprised the juror was allowed to continue - or that the judge didn't at least ask if they'd also looked up GBC's trial on the internet.

*I saw the channel 10 post about 'the verdict' being in - what a disappointment!

Maybe they have Ladybird, but they've been instructed not to take notice of this. They'd have to have been living under a rock not to have seen it.
