Top entry from October 28 the poster mentions working out with James and Denise at the "BACC" which I assume is the Barron Area Community Center (https://www.thebacc.com/).

The one lady (victim) was my neighbor some 7-10 years ago.
 
Trying to find the name of the company that that painted and posted pics of the Closs home (on their FB account) from a few years ago. I know the pics were posted on a prior thread but can't find the post. Someone posted an interesting comment not long ago and I can't stop thinking about it. TIA

I keep coming back to revenge as the motive. I am NOT INFERRING James, Denise or Jayme were involved in anything illegal or improper. Rather the crimes resulted from JC and/or DC learning of illegal or forbidden activity in or out of the workplace and perhaps reporting it; helping a person(s) and their actions being misconstrued or they were unable to assist after a time; punishment for a close friend’s or family member’s actions . . .

In November of 2001, three women ranging in age from 44-71 were murdered in a Florence, MT hair salon. A man was charged several years after the murders but ultimately the case did not go to trial. Supposition was that a drug kingpin in the region hired someone to kill the owner of the salon because her son had allegedly not made good on his large drug debt. Something in the local paper not long ago about LE pursuing the case. It goes without saying the victims were innocent people who lost their lives because of another’s conduct.

I think they knew something about something or somebody. And somebody wanted them to shut up about it.

I think LE must have a clue where to look. They are not stupid.

The story at link is super interesting, thanks. Seems like they have a suspect but witnesses are dead or won’t testify? But no motive, after 18 years and no real shot at justice coming, imo.
 
I googled Jayme and found a picture of searchers walking through a plowed field. I guess that means they did search some of the farmland around her house?
 
Maybe this has been mentioned, but I keep thinking about who would know who lives at that house, and perhaps who would know where everyone might be in that house. I wonder if LE had thought to check on any household service people that have been to the Closs house? Carpet cleaners, HVAC repair, appliance installers, plumbers, painters, propane tank fillers, pest control specialists, etc. I read about a case, many years ago, about a carpet cleaner that had been to a family's house, and then came back and killed one of the young daughters. I certainly don't want to speak negatively about any profession, but someone killed at least two people.
 
Search dogs were brought up a little while back and there are also pictures of several different dogs with searchers but I'm not sure they are specifically search dogs. I don't know why someone would be allowed to bring a pet along to help search an area though.
 
It's good that the "tip" was sent in to the police, but I don't think there's anything to it. Jayme's case is getting some national attention and I've seen this, and variations of it, in every case I've followed. My cousin is LE in Indiana and worked the Delphi murders for a while and he said that most of the things written online (guestbook entries, Topix comments, etc.) were from people who'd never even been to Indiana, much less knew the family. As someone else stated, this was probably written by someone who had a theory of their own. Still, you never know.

Far too many times this happens. During the Mollie Tibbetts case there were people on FB continually harassing someone she knew, on his public FB page, because they knew "100%" that he had done it. They couldn't have been farther from the truth. Sad.

Sometimes I think some social media sites are the worst thing that has ever happened for victims of crime and their families left behind to read all of the baseless accusations.

This has happened in so many cases where they accused without any facts and in the end the vast majority were flat out totally wrong.

Imo it's unforgivable to casually accuse anyone just because they can.

I have said many times over the years that false accusations have become nothing more than a blood sport pastime to many.

They don't care if the victims or their family members are real people or how hurtful what they write is to them.

It's all about them and posting unsubstantiated speculation without one thing to back it up.

Over the years I have seen LE everywhere tell the public to stop the rumors and gossip. The plea is ignored.

They even have to waste valuable time now because those on the internet.. that never even knew any of the victims ....will contact them with their theories.

It's time consuming for LE especially when LE makes it very clear they dont need someone's theory.

They need credible tips from those that actually has credible information. It's like some think LE is too stupid and aren't capable of doing their job.

I know it has to highly aggravate so many police agencies and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse and never better.

Since we are talking about postings and whether they are real or not , can someone explain to me the Instagram in Jayme’s name that still seems active online? I only know the basics of Instagram.
Is this account fake ?I’m asking because it amazes me that new people still keep following it . ? Anyone else notice this ? Thanks to anyone who can clarify this for me !

The IG account that JLC likely used is Jayme Closs (@clossjayme) • Instagram photos and videos

There is another account, that appears to be old, or unused. This is not uncommon in social media, IMO; sometimes users create duplicate accounts for a variety of reasons (spam account, forgotten password, no longer have access to that email or log-in creds, etc).

An unused account appears to be jayme lynn closs (@jaymecloss) • Instagram photos and videos

Since the latter account is not set to private, anyone can follow it. Her other account (clossjayme) is set to private, and therefore no one can follow unless a Follow Request is approved by the accountholder.
