PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Nearly 40 years after a young woman’s body was found near Fly Creek in rural Clark County, genetic genealogy has helped investigators learn her name.

The victim known for decades as the “Fly Creek Jane Doe” was Sandra “Sandy” Renee Morden, born in 1962.

VIRGINIA - Investigators believe they have found the remains of three people, including a missing mother whose two children were found dead in an Alexander County home nearly five months ago.

A hunter found a truck that had been burned early Monday morning in a very remote area of Grayson County, Virginia, near the North Carolina state line. Deputies said they found three sets of human skeletal remains in the bed of the truck.

Search to be conducted for Sioux Falls woman missing since 1974

Ellabeth Lodermeier, then 25, disappeared from her Sioux Falls home on March 6, 1974. She hasn't been seen since.

On Tuesday, Sioux Falls Police Department spokesman Sam Clemens confirmed that at least one dog is being brought in on Wednesday to search an area near the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum along the Big Sioux River.
