RightNo, there isn't (apart from Lori's alibi statement), but Lori and Alex had options to prevent being heard by MG and DW. Of course Alex's neighbors could have heard something.

He would have known if he googled it. He did google the wind direction...Just some off the cuff thoughts here...they really did not have a plan when TR was taken out and they botched it badly. You would have to believe that a former grave digger would know how hot a fire has to be to burn a body. I suspect CD was about as good at that as he was an author.
But that seems very unlikely. Would you actually plan a murder for a time when you had guests in the house that might hear or see something? I think if it were planned then it had to be at Alex's place. If it was Lori who did it in a fit of rage over something JJ did in the middle of the night then that would make more sense.I agree. But when Alex brought JJ in that last evening, JJ wasn't wearing his pajamas in which he was later found. To me it's more likely that JJ was just sleeping at that point and that murder was planned for later, possibly when Lori had her bedroom door locked because she left.
FWIW, I understood CD-and-followers' beliefs were essentially the opposite, something like the following ideas (if I misunderstood, please let me know) which are unbiblical and cause evil ...
1 say you have an evil spirit (ES) living in you aka a demon, one of Satan's followers -- [in the Bible, this is spoken of as something that was encountered at times, most commonly in Jesus day as the demons were trying to thwart Him and His work]
2 your loved ones need to get it out [and you have to be concerned about future lives -- teaching multiple lives contradicts what the Bible says - and in their view, especially a future one that might potentially have a chance to be one of the 144,000 being gathered by LVD]
3 so they try to cast it out by x y or z (basically similar to an exorcism idea in Catholicism)
4 but if they try and can't do it, CD invented a whole series of non-BiblicalI horrific evil teachings on what to do and why, which includes...
5 they don't want the loved one doomed with an ES staying in them in this life (since they can't get it out) and then still there in you future lives
6 so they need to kill the body, which expels the ES,
7 but the ES will only leave for 2 minutes,
8 so to keep the ES from re-entering, they can bind or burn the body, which then keeps the ES from being able to get back in, and therefore will allow you to go to a future life free of ES
I've been wondering if the vastly different approaches to disposing of the bodies tells us anything. It could be as simple as learning what does not work when they did Tylee and doing something different 2 weeks later with JJ. It could also mean 2 different people did the burials.I still am having trouble with what they did to Tylee's body. It seems so over the top and not necessary.
apparently Archibald on first day of trial said to the press as he was entering the court wtte of ' well we did try and get our client to accept a plea ' ( He was telling the world that he thinks his client is guilty & there's no hope for her. Wild! And unethical )
I hate that the two trials were separated. I really wanted to see Lori and Chad sitting there together during the testimony and photos of the remains.
How is JJ not trying to pull the bag off before his hands are duct-taped? You'd need someone to handle the head, and another person to handle the hands IMO.
JJ had alcohol in his system. This suggests to me the GBH was administered, because alcohol greatly enhances its effect. Per the DEA drug sheet ^^^. We know this combination from the "date-rape drug scenario", yes?
From the presence of alcohol, I conclude the GBH was administered, and not natural. It would be like the proposition, "If B, then A", with A+B being the drug cocktail.
Right. He said he was not able to determine if the GHB could be naturally occurring from post mortem in the liver or given to him before he died. Not correct nor what the pathologist stated.
Duct tape speaks to premeditation. Also, no fingerprints=gloves=premeditation
Because the brutality of it was the point.I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have chosen a gun shot to the head as opposed to dealing with complicated resistance from them. Why worry with a bag over the head, duct tape, body parts manipulation?
IMO it did happen at Alex's place. Like in Tylee's case, they made sure that Chad would be alone at home for the burial. JJ's grave was also likely pre-dug, because Alex didn't stay long at Chad's property. But that seems very unlikely. Would you actually plan a murder for a time when you had guests in the house that might hear or see something? I think if it were planned then it had to be at Alex's place.
