I don't want to sound rude but maybe the family needs to be a little more assertive. It is their son, why aren't they demanding answers?
If Rolf didn't recognize the person in the video, I doubt he thought the address of the store was important.

Why drive further south, to go north and west from St George? (Yeah, I know - there's that secret band of drivers out there who'll ferry strangers around the country for free, "just for the company"....but if he used someone like that, it could explain why he was never heard from again.)
I can't imagine him doing farm work. If he liked labor, he'd have stuck with construction or FedEx.
But there's not much else up there. A few small motels in small towns, a few small restaurants. Migrants have most of the farmwork. (In other worse, worse pay than he'd ever imagined before in any previous job except maybe window-washing.)
Ever driven past the northern city limits of Sacramento? Farms, about the same as you see in Southern Arizona.
I check the northern california cases just to keep things going here, but I still believe Steven will be found in/near SCA. The theories that he left, are too convoluted.

Why drive all over the state of Utah with no particular place to go? Who knows why people do the things they do? Particularly when they go missing?

The remains they found were of a white male. I doubt very much he was a migrant worker in the area.

Yes, I have. My theory is that the guy whose remains were found there was not FROM there.

That is why I have always felt that the connection to SCA is so important. What ever led him there someone or something, is the reason he is gone.
Have you looked at all the white guys missing from that area recently? Surely LE has. Isn't it possible this person was transported to that spot from elsewhere?
He didn't even recognize himself! For crying out loud. If these possible sighting are anywhere near where his car was found, wouldn't it be worth looking into further?
Whenever I go to namus.com and search for remains found since Dec 13th, "white" is the race I enter. It then asks me "Hispanic" or "other".
We have to remember that the remains found at Beer Can Beach were in an area frequented by drug users, drunk partiers, and all kinds of lowlifes. It's possible the person was killed right there.
Unless he "just went there"......
If you're someone who just drives around, you could end up anywhere
I think we'd think it odd no matter where his car was found, if it was miles from his home.
What else is there to investigate, though? I know what you're saying. But there was a tip that someone thought he might have been at one of those stores, and the person on the video wasn't recognized as Steven, by his father.
I actually didn't understand the part about Rolf not identifying "himself"....I think Naegle was actually referring to Steven, and not Rolf.
Why would they show Rolf video of himself....and if they did, why wouldn't he know where he was????
I think that's why she suggested we contact LE...which I just tried to do (again). We'll see.
Okay - I hope that works, but I don't have much faith.
I give up.
Here are all the Home Depots in the Vegas area:

What has you frustrated, Fairy1? That the family isn't pursuing things that they really should? I think they need to be more pro-active because with more things happening in the SP case ( search coming up) SK is going to keep taking a backseat.

Hey, you gave up two minutes ago
OK....the closest one to where the car was found is this one:
2200 E Serene Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123
It's nine miles away, just off I-215.
The closest Best Buy is:
611 Marks St
Henderson, NV 89014
Those two places are ten miles apart. I can't find any Best Buy or Home Depots near each other.
Local LE is publicly stating that they are *not* supporting the SP search that's scheduled for this next weekend. They don't want anyone getting hurt, lost, etc. They did talk, last night, about many of the searches they've conducted (including the mineshafts they keep getting tips about) in looking for her.
I really don't know what *either* family can be doing. Publicity really doesn't solve cases, UNLESS you can publicize something like Brian Mitchell, who wears robes and has a long beard. People will (and did) spot him!
