I couldn't let it slide if I was known publicly as a crack head either, I think she's coming across poorly, but when you take a close look she's done nothing actually wrong, and really good on her for not going through with testifying for Jodi, imagine if she did, what they'd be saying then!

Anyway, you're not coming across angry :)

BBM: That's true. I just wish she would just let it die (so to speak).... I mean her interviews .... at this point, she has absolutely no relevance to this whole thing. She just wants to be in the spotlight, apparently??? Here I go again ... don't get me started

And thanks for opining that I don't sound angry. :seeya: Are you sure about that (lol)

:eek:fftobed: Nite everyone ... I'm taking my angry azz to bed :giggle:

Ive been like this all day:eek:verreaction:

:sheesh:

#1 reason to boycott Lifetime's movie, "Dirty Little Secret" this weekend: Rob Lowe is not playing Dr. Horn

*insert sad trombone here*

KIND OF creeps you out?!?!? lol That is totally disturbing! Seriously can't believe that's a real ad. I mean I do, but I don't.

<cough>
I think I swallowed my gum.
The squick factor is through the roof.

P.S. Mrs. G, a lot of this garbage that I've read has been on that trashy FB site that you've mentioned. I finally "unliked" it. Couldn't stand reading those awful comments from posters.

I've found myself being much more selective when using a LIKE button or commenting on something on FB. Between "like farmers" gathering info and hit counts, and FB blabbing to everyone's friends about what they "liked" or even simply commented on, it's kind of creepy. Even if someone makes a comment that is a scathing denouncement of something or someone within the initial post or related comments by others, FB only says that someone commented on something, which infers that they liked and/or were involved with it in some way. I do NOT like that! I only see these things popping up in FB about other people I know, but I have no idea what THEY might see about ME.

That is definitely something to think twice about when your finger hovers over a LIKE button.

Hey gang! So defense got it delayed? Why am I not surprised at JSS?
Is she saying it will take her a month to even decide if she will delay it until 2014? Geez, she makes her decisions so fast, I just can't keep up with her. That disgusts me.
The best news for me is that JA will remain in her cell 23/7 until whenever they get it delayed.
Hope JS will grow a pair and get this show on the road.

I sure do not understand it. The defense needs time to prepare ? Seriously ? They just put on a marathon case that lasted entirely too long, was short on reality/truth and full of long winded folks who like to hear themselves talk even when it is complete and utter bs. I am weary of this defense team, the defense team of 1,000 excuses and short several cards from the deck. Bloody heck, she is a convicted murderer, she is still alive which is more than can be said of the victim in this case, and every stupid little twist she and her DT come up with is just one more affront to "Justice".

Yeah I hope this judge will get with it and get on with it. Time for this dirty little murderess to meet her fate, the court has bent over backwards to assure her rights are not being violated. Time for the families to have their rights to their lives returned. This twisted little murderess needs to sink into oblivion whether it be the DP or LWOP - get on with it and be done.

One does not sell their wedding photos and sell their wedding video to a national news organization that you know to be sensationalizing a trial that you are going to be a witness in, or even if you were not, unless you want the money and the attention. It is beyond laughable for Patti to feign shock over receiving negative attention. She indeed appeared in court, and behaved in a way that was very unflattering, and disrespectful. She appeared on many shows on the telephone seemingly quite impaired. Those were her free will choices. She did agree to be a witness in the case. If one wants out of the spotlight, of course they cease all media contact, whatsoever. Since that is not the case, clearly she is not being honest about her desires. Don't anyone feel bad that they find her to be not a credible or sympathetic figure.

As far as the jurors, they have every right to befriend anyone they like, trust and respect and vice versa. I find it very odd that folks are upset with them for doing so. It is common for jurors to stay in contact with a victim's family and friends well after the trial, as they have bonded having gone through the trial together. Why this would offend anyone is curious to me, but we all live in America and are free to opine. Of course. I liken it to someone staying in touch with friend of their brother that served beside in him in the military, ( after his death, even though the family may have not otherwise known these young men). They feel a commonality that brings them together, emotionally. It must be healing and helpful to the jurors to know they are appreciated for their immense sacrifice. The trial and holding someone's freedom and life in their hands was likely one of the hardest things they will ever be called upon to do in this life. If they can find solace in some new friends and in speaking out, who does that harm? One of my brothers is a fire captain and he receives notes and photos from children ( over a span of years ) just saying hello, keeping in touch, in thanks for him having saved them many years ago in a fire, or car accident, etc. It was just such a defining moment in their lives that they remember him in a very emotional way, although the time he was in their life was just for that one time, that one event or emergency. Nevertheless the bond they feel is perpetual. I hope this helps some understand.
I hope ALL GOOD THINGS to the jurors and the family and friends and however they may be of help, sunshine and a soft place to fall for one another.

In remembrance of Travis......

I think they are trying to put off the inevitable, she doesnt want to go to prison, just stay in jail. Haul her *advertiser censored*z off already!!

I started out 'not liking' FB mostly based on the format but as it has evolved over time I have come to loathe everything about it.

I know I will get tomatoes for this one, but I don't care. The jurors in this case should not have gone to court this morning. Their civic duty was over. They did their jobs! I especially, do not agree with them going to breakfast with the Alexander friends and family. I enjoy reading the posts from KCL about her experiences in court, what she observes, I really do. I just think the jurors should have faded away as well...all of them! We can't hold juror #18 to a different standard. :twocents:

JMO and go easy on me. Please..I mean well. :moo:[/QUOTE]

They have every right and I'd probably do same. We could watch what we wanted, take breaks, eat, etc. they sat there day after day, month after month, confined to a chair for Justice. Probably wanted JA to know, it wasn't us the penalty part ended in a mistrial. They probably also have compassion for the TA family to be subjected to not having closure and, want/need to show they support them. Their civic duty was over, as why they weren't sitting in the Juror chairs. They couldn't talk in court, have nothing to hide, so breakfast/lunch/dinner whatever they wanted to do was a great idea. If anyone had questions the needed an answer, they were able to do so, face-to-face, not some lousy hearsay information. They needed this and I thank them for the job they did, heck I'd buy them all breakfast.
Everyone has an opinion, and we don't have Quakers to grade us, so all is good.

I don't think that the convict looked worn out, as some have observed/reported. My BFF, who knows little about this trial, said she looked like a princess walking through. I agree. The diva now has burly, scary bodyguards, in her mind. She's so special.

She looks the same.

Reports from HLN call her behaviour "demure". I call it manipulative. This is a dame shackled within an inch of her life, with a major contingent of armed escorts who are solely there to make sure her violent, butchering, conniving, convicted heini doesn't make a wrong move; she is so obviously considered a threat to life and liberty.

She may think she's a diva, but she looks like the average convict. Can't wait till she's gone from our lives. She will play to the cameras until there are no more cameras. I pray that happens soon.

The judge is a wimp, IMO.

BBM~ I see where you're coming from, but I think I would do the same if I was their shoes.

I guess they are so passionate about Jodi paying the ultimate price for what she did to Travis. aka: Justice for Travis.

For one thing, being a juror was day in and day out of testimony (Gus, Dr. Samuels, ALV, DeMarte, Jodi, and Dr. Horn :luv:, Juan, Jodi doodling, sidebars, the Alexanders, each other (poor them to have to deal with jury foreman); court delays, making one of the biggest decisions of their lives imo.

However, with that being said, wasn't #18 an alternate? Anywhoo, she pinned Jodi right from the beginning and if I were a juror that did not fall for Jodi's act i'd want to see Jodi in her prison garb, cuffed. :twocents:

BBM~ ITA. Once the spotlight is off her, which is currently fading, Jodi will fade.

Why may I ask you think the judge is a wimp?

I think she should of made a ruling yesterday, not wait until July.

I have a feeling there will not be another PP trial. I think she will get LWOP and Jodi will fade into sunset just like when she left Mesa on Jun4.

I understand what you mean about going on HLN and that it's a bad idea, if she hadn't she wouldn't be copping it now, although having been Jodi's friend is the issue there too. In regards to the medicated thing apparently she suffers from bad epilepsy. I give her the benefit of the doubt, I do not know her, I don't like the way she is being bullied, it really bothers me actually, there is something about this trial that just sent people crazy.

Do meds for epilepsy make you sound drugged?

She was apparently willing to testify for the sweet Jodi she knew, but according to JM refused to answer questions about her drug use and took the fifth re: her sale of pics. IIRC there were problems with her attire and sobriety on the day she was questioned - some pundits hinted that was the reason court was held up - and JM actually stated "It is clear she has some kind of substance abuse problem" that would have been addressed if she testified. She can go on Dr. Drew or HLN and claim she's never had a problem, but if that's true, why couldn't she testify to that under oath?

If she has done nothing wrong, there was no need to fear being questioned by JM and little need for Nurmi and Wilmott to offer her legal advice re: taking the fifth. She can talk all she wants about being bullied, but there have been people that have testified in order to put away organized crime types, drug kingpins and vicious gang members - now those people seriously had reason to fear, but her tales of fond memories of a teen friend?

She was even offered a chance to testify off camera, so why all of a sudden worry about internet gossip now? Especially since she was so willing to put herself out there in all her glory prior to the trial, and people have been talking about her since her first interview. She was more than willing to show up sitting next to the mother, either drifting off or giggling in court when she knew she would be on camera. Her claim of threats as the reason for her refusal gave the DT one more opportunity to ask for a mistrial and attack JM for 'bullying'. I tend to doubt the DT had any intentions of allowing either DB or Patti to testify, but they used her refusal and she is going along with it now.

I don't read those FB pages, but from what I have seen of her myself and what was said in court, I have little to no sympathy for her.

IF Patti wants people to stop talking about her, she should get the hello off of HLN every night. I don't pity people who bring it on themselves. Her name wasn't coming up until SHE made the decision to insert herself back into the case, by coming back on HLN again! The trial was over. She decided she didn't want to testify on behalf of the killer, everyone had stopped talking about her. It was over. Yet, she makes the decision to start back up with the interviews. Seems like she likes the attention. Her 15 minutes are up and have been. Patti is irrelevant to this case. Too bad she doesn't think so.

It's very clear, from what Mr. Martinez said in court about her that she has major issues. For some reason, Patti didn't want to testify and didn't want to talk about her income and past on record. Patti not testifying had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with threats. It was because of her own past and present. She couldn't just make a statement on behalf of the killer, she would be crossed by Juan Martinez. Patti didn't want the truth to come out in open court and she did not want to be crossed. Period.

Don't want people to talk about you, don't put your face and voice on those shows every single night. Fade away...nothing to see and nothing to offer to the penalty phase. JMO

Well said!

And why am I still astounded that the media have conveniently forgotten all this?
