GUILTY NC - Mariah Woods, 3, Onslow County, 27 Nov 2017 #10 *Arrest*

http://abc11.com/reports-suggest-man-used-chloroform-to-kill-mariah-woods/2983649/

According to this article she had no signs of trauma related to sexual abuse.

Wondering if it means there were no signs of trauma or just that no official has confirmed anything beyond the chloroform.

From article:
While many speculate that Kimrey may have abused the 3-year-old, officials did not indicate that the autopsy revealed any signs of trauma.

Miss Marlowe I do believe we were typing nearly the same thing at the same time. ;)

IMO, he was using chloroform to knock her out to sexually abuse her.

No way KW DID not know what was going on with EK and her daughter.

I hope she gets charged.

Jmo

I think social media allows people like KW to retreat into their own virtual world. KW only cared about portraying her fairy tale, vile, vain, self centered ,narcissistic fantasy on FB. I know very little of KW but have seen the Kodak Moments of Mandy she posted to showcase her doting devotion to Mandy.:sigh:

All the while in the real world a depraved petophile is poisoning and raping her daughter.

I hope she gets a maximum sentence.

:cow:

Well I sure didn't see that coming. Looking into chloroform I learned that historically it was used to anesthetize but it was also abused as a way to get high and there were also incidents of criminals using it on victims.

So... was Kimrey using it as a way to subdue Mariah in order to sexually abuse her (IMO I suspect it was) or was Kimrey using it as a cheap way to get high, exposing Mariah to the fumes?

I was confused over the first degree murder charge but I see that in North Carolina first-degree murder includes felony murder. IOW, a death occurring during the commission of a felony can be charged as first-degree murder. Good.

The smell alone would have permeated every inch of that trailer so how could Kristy not know something was up? If she is cooperating with LE like msm reports then we should have the whole story soon. And if she isn't being truthful IMO the investigation will reveal the truth.

So we don't know that the autopsy showed no signs of abuse, only that officials have not (yet) indicated that it did?

If it was the type of sexual abuse that was reported by her brother would there be signs of it? Oral abuse may not leave signs detectable during autopsy. Imo

"We suspect that this chemical was used to disable the child and according to the autopsy report, it led to her death," Sheriff Miller said.

Sheriff Miller will not reveal how investigators believe Kimrey got his hands on the chloroform.

The judge read Kimrey's charges and said his next hearing on these matters will be February 14, 2018.

I had no idea it was possible to “make” it at home. Thanks to Casey Anthony, I am not interested in ever googling anything about that stuff. I guess I thought it was harder to obtain.

Me too! Sadly, I wonder how many times this has been used on her.

That's what I understood it to mean when I read that article, but because of the way it is worded, I can understand how it could be taken to mean something different.

Thinking back to that televised interview with the Sheriff (the one where we were also confused by if his answer of clothed meant fully clothed or underwear only...didn't he say during that same interview that he knew how she died? (Or am I remembering that inaccurately???). I'm wondering if officials originally thought they knew cause of death because of the state of her body or some injury they saw she had and were equally surprised by the chloroform toxicity findings or if a search of the house early on or digging things up on Earl early on in the investigation had already steered them in the direction or at least already had knowledge of the chloroform belonging to him?

Just saw this --please forgive if a repeat:

According to this article she had no signs of trauma related to sexual abuse.

Just because officials did not indicate trauma from sexual abuse, doesn't mean it did not happen. Officials did not state that sexual abuse had been ruled out. I hate it when media assume something just because it wasn't mentioned.

ETA: The article mentions that Officials did not indicate that sexual abuse had happened. Doesn't say it was even mentioned.

That court date is for the original charges.

JMO but the way I see it, Mariah had to have died in his presence or he would not have known to go and dispose of her at three in the morning. The only way her mother could not know was for him to be with Mariah when she died and then took her to dispose of her while her mother slept or her mother was made aware that she had died, which means someone had to have checked on her before three in the morning.
