I noticed in the comments after the first article linked in this thread that someone asked if she had been comparted to Jan Scharf so I did a search and found this:

She does look similar to the facial reconstruction sketch but I haven't read enough to see if anything else matches.

I read that same comment a couple weeks ago and searched her husbands name. He was a paramedic for a private ambulance.....I wonder if he would have access to a sweatshirt like that.

If the info posted above is correct, then the dates don't match up. Jan Scharf went missing in 2002, sweatshirts made in 2004.

It's kind of hard to tell but I think that just means that the group was formed in 1997 and ceased to exist after 2005. Either that or the 2004 date above is wrong.

interesting side note on kathryn, her brother was later arrested and sentenced for trying to solicit someone to murder five people he believed had a connection with her death.

it was his belief, as well, that she may have been in the bay area.

The necklace and the shirt are either going to be the big clues in this case or either turn out to be "red herrings" so to speak.

I say this only because if the shirt was given to members of the "Delta Fire Crew", it is possible that one of the members donated it to a charity, where our UID could have obtained it. I will say that the likelihood of that is small, but it is still possible. Same thing with the "Greatful Dead" jacket. Wonder if there are any photos of the actual jacket that are available. It could help us narrow down a time frame as to when the UID could have gotten it, maybe someone would even recognize the sweatshirt/jacket being worn in combination together.

Also, the necklace is similar to ones I have seen sold over the years at places like Claire's Boutique and Hot Topix. Although, I don't really recall seeing very many necklaces with frogs on them, I am sure if one wanted on, it wouldn't be that hard to find. Is this a necklace that LE can say is pretty unique ( to the point where it was hand made or made exclusively for a certin chain of stores to sell) or just unsual enough to be remembered, even if widely available?

When I ran my screen again, this woman looks like a pretty good possible.

Her teeth look quite similar. Although her left lateral incisor doesn't appear as pointy, the lateral incisors do have a similar tilt (inward at the top). She also has the same facial shape, particularly with the wide temples and wide cheekbones.

And BTW, the vital stats, and timeframe are consistent. However, the distance from Cathedral City CA and Isleton CA is about 475 miles.

But the interesting thing about this is the bit in her Charley profile that her nickname is "Frog".

The UID's DoeNet page indicates that among the jewelry items found was a "beaded necklace with a crouching frog".

I don't think they did call it in, because they quickly moved on to other possibles. It looks like they decided that the DLC was not consistent, and moved on.

FWIW I have been in that area a bit in past. It's by Rio Vista which is one of those small, roll up the streets at dark kinda towns. I've spent more time out by Grizzly Island (not too far) and can tell you there are some rather odd ducks that pass thru now and again. We've hunted there many times, miles of nothing but open land and water. Roads are dirt/gravel off main roads.

We had a strange incident happen once out there where thankfully no one was injured or abducted. I was able to flag down authorities and they quickly found and arrested group in van (warrants, I take it) who freaked out some of the women left at clubhouse to clean up.

my guess would be that she appeared to be caucasian. i have a friend who has 1/4 african american in her genetic mixture (the rest being caucasian) and this girl burns in the sun, she's so white. so our jane doe here could have very well appeared to be white.

I called this in to the Sacramento County Sheriff's office, and spoke with Detective Scott Swisher. He says that he has six 4" binders on this case, so he was unable to check while I was on the phone to see whether Jonne Boe had been looked at.

However, he says that the nickname "Frog" sounded familiar, so he may have already looked at her. He will look into it to be sure though.

Aside from the fact that her vital stats and timeline match, her facial shape fits perfectly. If you superimpose the images, everything aligns perfectly.

I don't see anything else though that jumps out at me though. Isleton and Bakersfield are about 265 miles apart, on opposite ends of the San Joaquin Valley.

I wish I could see Shani's teeth.
