the way this is worded makes it seem like the subaru is carrying his child :giggle:

but really, this is ridiculous! how could a person think robbing a bank is a good idea? i just can't see planning something like that out, and not having the foresight to realize that there is no way in h*ll i'd be able to get away with it.

The fugitive Dougherty siblings, on the lam for a week, have an arsenal of high-powered weapons and newly released video shows that the siblings know how to use them, police said.

"We know that Ryan several years ago purchased an AK-47 at a pawn shop," Pasco County (Fla.)Sheriff Chris Nocco said. "We know his brother, Dylan, also purchased several high-caliber rifles and handguns. ... We were also informed by family members that they do have a large arsenal and when we searched the house, there were no weapons or any ammunition left so we know they took them with them."

About 10 years ago, Glenn, a Vietnam War veteran, and his wife, Suzanne, adopted Dylan Dougherty, whose birth mother was Barbara June Bell – Suzanne's sister.

that would made him 16. Wonder why he was adopted? 16 is a little old to be adopted. so his adopted mom lived in MI...they could be heading there?

There really is alot of info in the article. At first I put them in the light of the Cummings Clan but I think they had more choices in life. I believe they ALL adopted Dylan and it makes me wonder about what he has gone through. Not that it excuses it but it does help me understand their motivation. Again dysfunction is the word of the decade, but come on, EVERYONE has some sort of Dysfunction. The alliance of the two brothers and sister seems very strong.I sure hope one of them comes to their senses.

Finding out why Dylan was adopted is a good question, where there headed is scary.

If they indeed robbed the bank, I sure do wonder how much they got. Could be headed for Canada. They could have easily change their looks and bought a new vehicle.I just don't think they have the savvy to change their identities and make it across a border. I have some doubt though that not every inch of the border is protected. Who knows, they could hitch a ride with anyone if the price is high enough and their willing to gamble. I think they will get caught though hopefully alive.
 
GAWD keep them away from me. They are probably headed to Mexico.
 
Interesting somewhat, they were called in from an REI parking lot.

The Gazette reported (http://bit.ly/oFit6p) that the possible sighting in Colorado Springs was called in by a customer in the parking lot of an REI store. REI spokeswoman Libby Catalinich told The Associated Press only that the company was contacted by law-enforcement officials. She declined further comment.

UPDATE: FBI calls sightings of fugitives in Springs 'credible'

The FBI's Denver office issued a statement Tuesday evening saying reports that the Doughertys were in Colorado Springs appear “credible.” The three fugitives may be trying to elude capture by hiding out or camping in rural areas, the FBI said.

"Credible" sighting puts Dougherty Gang in Colorado

A nationwide manhunt for three siblings on the FBI's most-wanted list focused on Colorado today, after a "very credible" report placed the so-called Dougherty Gang in the state.

"Our investigation leads us to believe that this is them," said FBI Denver spokesman Dave Joly

"We believe they pose a very imminent threat to the community we serve and to law enforcement," Joly said.

He said based on the group's purchases, including camping supplies, officials believe "they might be headed to a rural area or a camp site to avoid law enforcement detection."

The car seen today in Colorado Springs had stolen Texas license plates with the number LCS 909
