Update says they are investigating an "unattended death which does not seem to involve any criminal activity" .
 
I didn't think this was connected to Dani. Evident by press indicating a "body" As much as I hate to type this it would be "remains" with the passage of so much time. Yet the press sometimes gets it wrong. Shocking I know (LOL)

I wasn't sure what unattended death meant and found the definition in the article useful. Including here for reference.

"Unattended death" is the term used when a person dies and their body is not found for an extended period of time.

Argh. Probably not Dani. :(

FWIW, "unattended death" usually means a homeless person died of natural causes. Hope they are able to ID the person.

according to a TV news report my DH saw this morning, no it wasn't about Dani, sighhh

AURELIUS TWP., Mich. (WILX) - The Ingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating after human remains were found in the Grand River Friday evening.

The Capital Area Dive Team was called in a found a submerged container with remains inside.

it's unclear how long the remains have been in the water.

ETA: This area is about 1.5 hrs from the Berkley home and a little over an hour from her apartment.

I always wonder how they find these things. I assume someone directed to them...i hike a lot and I'm always glancing about half looking because im afraid I might actually see something, but half hoping I do to give a family peace. But I think it would haunt me for the rest of my days.

A metro Detroiter on Monday shared a Facebook post from a male friend who found a much-circulated photo of Danielle Stislicki as he was browsing profiles on the app. Using the screen name “Looking3thcat,” whoever is using the missing woman’s photo claims to be 22 years old and living in Indiana.

Farmington Hills Police said that they will be looking into this issue; at least attempting to locate and contact the culprit. Although police are not sure that use of the photo amounts to criminal activity, police at very least would ask the person to take it down.

What is wrong with people? I wish someone (the police) would've tried meeting up with them. I'm sure it's not even a real person but they clearly don't have good intentions.

ETA: Well obviously it's a real person that set it up but ugh. [emoji20]
