John Mack Jr. arraigned on charge of kidnapping of Shelby woman
To Note:
•Mack Jr. was arrested Thursday in the area of East First and South Adams streets.
•John H. Mack, Jr., was arraigned Friday in Mansfield Municipal Court on a charge of kidnapping
•Also arrested was his son, Jaybyn Mack, 18, and Jabyn's wife, Alexandria Mack, 18.
•Both were arraigned Friday morning on a charge of obstructing official business, a felony of the third degree.
•Both admitted that they knew Mack Jr. was wanted when they made contact with him on Tuesday at 87 S. Adams St. and set up a meeting to pick him up Thursday in Columbus
•Both said they went to the home of Mack Jr.'s ex-wife on Tuesday where Mack Jr (was there) and made contact with them.
•During this time, they set up a meeting for Thursday. Both Alexandria and Jaybyn agreed to pick up Mack Jr. at his work place in Columbus.
•At 4:01 p.m. Thursday they met Mack Jr. at J.B. Hunt and drove back to Mansfield with Mack Jr. in the back seat
•Jaybyn Mack called the SPD on Thur. wanting to turn in Mack Jr. for the $5,000 reward money
•Mack Jr. told a corrections officer at the jail they were not going to find any DNA because he just bought new clothing from Walmart Thur.
•Blood, presumed to be Davis', was found in Mack's Cliffside Drive residence
