No they did not need a search Warrant fur woods . It was right at the opening of the neighborhood were LE was giving the first few news conference before moving to the church . It was right across from where a cop car sat 24 hours day. That's why it's so strange.

I honestly think this references the significant number of vicims, especially children, in the recent past that have been found or indicated that they were placed in trash cans/Dumpsters, later possibly searched or found in landfills. Thanks to the FBI in getting ahead of this trend in their processes....I don't think they really knew how close until it happened....Or they would have postponed/delayed the 11 am press conference.....which they didn't. Doesn't take away from their fabulous effort.....

This is very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I may have to do further research into the topic.

Well the same neighbor who went on record as seeing her get off the bus also said her mom was waiting there like she did every day. And where the bus stop is she would have to go out of her way to pass his house. There is literally one duplex between the bus stop and her house. That's why that other map is wrong. I'll attach the correct one again to this post. Data obtained from numerous sources but I visually confirmed the pertinent data from the WIS news video I believe Tuesday and from the last press conference.

    Screenshot_20200214-231632_Maps.jpg

That's not to say he couldn't have seen her at other times in the neighborhood.

Hope you are right that he didn’t sexually violate her. Whatever he did to her, he was remorseful about it to kill himself. Sounds like a truly sad situation all the way around that just should not have happened. An innocent child is gone unnecessarily :-(

Because there's no person of interest doesn't mean the case is wrapped up. You don't know if they are still searching for someone unknown who will become a person of interest.

They said "no evidence of an abduction" when there was none on that first day. I wish people would pay closer attention before carelessly discrediting law enforcement.

What we know about Coty Taylor, man linked to Faye Swetlik

    Friday, February 14th 2020

Sgt. Antley is talking about Coty Taylor. The 30-year-old has been linked to 6-year-old Faye Swetlik. Police said Taylor was found dead in his Churchill Heights apartment on Thursday about 150 yards away from the little girl's body.

“He was a neighbor. He was not a relative. He was not a friend. He was merely a neighbor that lived in Chruchill Heights,” said Sgt. Antley.

ETA: For those that prefer to visualize -- 150 yards is .08522 miles

My gut says there is a lot of evidence that wasn't made public. Possibly security footage that shows Faye walking with someone far enough away to not be ID'd or possibly Faye walking towards CT's home/area she was found. Combine that with limited entrances and exits and enough security footage to basically ID every vehicle in and out, it's possible they were able to rule out all or all but the silver car. Since we don't know where the silver car ended up after being spotted, it's possible it was not connected at all, it was connected, but parked outside of the community, or was connected and someone didn't want to come forward even though it was parked in the community all along. LE may have had plenty of reasons to suspect one person all along, as well. I've mentioned this before, but I think LE had really good reason to believe she never left the immediate area, but not enough evidence to prove without a doubt who was responsible.

I’m sorry but I have to respond. If he committed suicide which seems the most plausible explanation to me, to say that he was remorseful is a huge give IMO. Sorry but unless he left a signed confession expressing remorse for the death and the autopsy backed up his note, I would think he was more than likely watching the police hone in on him and knew it was over and took the easy way out for himself.

We don't know that he felt remorseful. He could have killed himself trying to maintain control over his own fate, knowing that it was only a matter of time before he was apprehended.

I think the killer put her there because he couldn't chance taking her body out of the neighborhood due to LE presence.

    Ita!

He didn't want her found in his home so he took her little body, and threw it away like she was trash in the woods.

Imo he was hoping they wouldnt connect his suicide to her murder, but if they did he knew he wouldnt be here to see it exposed to all.

This was nothing about him wanting them to find her as if he had a conscience, which imo, he had none. No one with a conscience can kidnap, rape, imo, and murder anyone much less do it to a small totally innocent child.

He offed himself because he wanted to control even how he died. Perhaps he was a sociopath, IRDK. But they hate more than anything to have their dark deviant secrets exposed.

Link to and subsequent discussion of the Fit News article has been removed as it does not appear to be a reliable source. IMO, looks like pretty cookie-cutter type journalism.

Let's wait for more "mainstream" MSM.

IMO-when LE left MUSC with Faye, they also brought the autopsy report along with them. ETA-Not that I think wer are going to hear anything about her report. Because of the Faye's escort to the funeral home, LE has not yet had an opporunity for an official press conference or press report to MSM. Also, maybe CT wasn't done yet when LE left with Faye.
Also, thanks to the poster who posted the yardage visual. Her body was found so close to CT's apartments. I thought it was farther away and much closer to the NAPA store. Also, I had thought earlier that there was a fence right behind the apartments , but the crime scene tape photos don't show that. However, there is a fence right behind the NAPA store, so it doesn't look like that wooded area belongs to the NAPA. Just some of my random thoughts at the moment from reading posts.

They are still asking for anyone that has information or video from the day she went missing untill 12 on the day they found her to contact CPS, I am guessing because there is little known about CT and we're she was found, and they had been in contact with him and been in his house. This whole thing is strange the ball was dropped some place and No the deflection will start. Sad real sad.

I mentioned before that a 6 year old is not the same as a 17 year old teen. How many teens wander off and get lost? There should be exceptions to infants, toddlers and children below the age of 10. Why must an abduction be witnessed to be confirmed before issuing an Amber Alert? JMO
An Amber Alert was not issued for Faye because it did not meet the criteria. Law enforcement said they were not certain she had been abducted. In fact, at the first press conference, Cayce officials said it was possible the little girl wandered off and got lost.

We don’t know whether or not an alert could have helped in the case, but we do know that every second matters when a child goes missing. Should Amber Alert criteria be tweaked?

It's just so unimaginable to me how she could have been do close but so far away. I had that motherly instinct kick in the first press conference o seen at 12 a.m. Tuesday morning right if the bat Zi said to myself She's in the neighborhood very close. Sad

I think there should be a different alert system for a list child, only because the Amber alert was for a child that was abducted and killed. Do y'all now whatca BLUE ALERT is??
