No. It means that no one wants to "do the right thing'. Getting someone from outside means that they don't have to deal with the situation.

Although, it may be a good idea. Because if it is truly someone who is completely "Independent", it may end up with more serious charges. It depends on who they get.

I am really interested if there was a complete autopsy on Boever. Had the man suffered? Had he been alive at all? Able to call out for help? Could he have been saved? Things that never came out in the "no trial".

This came out during the interviews with LE saying that after autopsy it was known that Boever was dead on impact due to the speed he was hit at

SD lawmakers take impeachment investigation into AG Jason Ravnsborg behind closed doors

Ravnsborg would be the first state official to be impeached by the Legislature if lawmakers deem the charges warranted. If impeachment is recommended, a majority of the House would have to approve the charges.

The state Senate would then have to hold a trial and achieve a two-thirds majority vote to convict Ravnsborg and oust him from office.

The nine-member Select Committee on Investigation met over two days in the Capitol building, almost entirely behind closed doors. The committee came back into public session late Wednesday afternoon and unanimously voted to expand its request for additional information from Ravnsborg and subpoena a number of officials and investigators involved in the original investigation.

Those the committee will subpoena will include Department of Public Safety Secretary Craig Price, who oversaw the investigation into Ravnsborg, several investigators and a crash reconstruction expert.

The committee will next meet Jan. 17-19.

What a cozy group. Just wondering why they did not invite a federal government agency in, such as local FBI, for investigation? Oh, those folks are "outsiders".

“He walked by a flashlight that’s on. There’s a body that’s laying within two feet of the roadway and obviously deceased and he’s all white, there isn’t any blood being pumped in him and the fact white is reflective, I believe that he’d have to see him,” Rummel said.

Interesting reading. What is missing is the time prior to the accident. What was Ravnsborg drinking, doing, who was he with, what do they say?!
