1. Tracking dogs lost JEW’s scent at about this point. That scent also tapered off in a direction leading toward the house, indicating JEW’s progression toward the house on that property.

Where are S1's prints you ask like I do? Well we may want to make sure we're looking at Jacobs last footprint first.

Boy, if the dog was only allowed to keep going that night and maybe lead the officers to one of the buildings or house that was never searched for five days, but DR called 911 and stopped them short...

Wanted to let you and cGorg know that Tinner emailed me that he now thinks Mund was wearing "dock shoes" and that what he thought was a Nike swoosh is actually a shadow. He has a couple of pictures to go with his analysis.

"After spending hours searching shoe tread patterns online I thought I was sold on the fact mund was wearing a running shoe from Nike. I'm no longer sold on that anymore. I'll explain and think you will agree.
In the attached picture you will notice the green arrow points to what at first glance looks like the symbolic Nike Swoosh. However, if you look closer, have a little knowledge on sun angles, you'll notice Mund is obviously facing North, it's approx. 9:30 - 10 am, and this black and white photo shows some shadow play to be sorted out. It looks to me that Mund is turned slightly to the NW and his right heel is casting a shadow over his white socks indicated by the red arrow. The curve of the white is an unrealistic curve for the clearance cut in the shoe for an ankle.

It's my belief now that he is wearing some sort of dock shoe, oxford or loafers.

-Besides, do people really wear Nike running shoes with sport coats?!?! If they do they should be arrested for it!!

I was responding to Sasquatch's notion that Jacob was in a building on the Rassier property--thus what I meant was the only way Jacob would be there is if the abductor has put him there. And since I do not think DR is the abductor, why would the actual abductor (DH in my view) have left him essentially in plain view? In other words, Sasquatch is still pointing the finger at DR by implying if the dogs had only been allowed to track Jacob "maybe" (as he put it) they would have hit on one of those building, case solved, DR is guilty--a hypothesis that seems crazy to me.

DR saw flashlights, people, and dogs by his woodpile and called 911 at about 1130. He then left his house and probably acted frightened. He somehow searches all those buildings by himself. There was a hold put on their investigation.

Well, if I saw those things in my yard I would call 9-1-1. We don't know how he "probably" acted, but it would be frightening to see such a commotion in the yard.

I believe some poor decisions have been made on behalf of LE releasing key points of information in this case, as it relates to the ongoing longevity of it. It's turned into protection of the perpetrator now. Show the driveway evidence in its entirety. What would that do?

Really? Ryan says so? BS. Mund is wearing Nikes....it's obvious. I don't buy the "shadow" argument. And he's wearing a suitcoat-so what-it's irrelevant. And besides....his right foot is exhibiting what Sas says could possibly be the "last footprint of JW". Mund is spraying the last footprint of Jacob Wetterling....take from it what you will.

Some days I wonder if SCSD looks at this thread and has a good laugh at our efforts to discern print evidence from the few pictures we have available, some of them obviously staged for the media.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with Ryan's evaluation at this point. I wanted to put the information here for all of you to look at and discuss. If you disagree, that's fine. Not sure why there is such vitriol being spread in this thread. Are we all at such odds?

Alot of people, including me, bought into evidence of the media after they got on the scene with their cameras and lights. LE continues to hold the factual print evidence. Sometumes families of the suspect need that certain thing to convince them, because we are mindful of families that wish to protect their own instead of helping the case.
