Hey Everyone,

We all saw this coming but it still rips your heart out. Sweet little Maleah never had a chance with the monster her mother let live with them.

We have been asked to give guidance to this thread as far as what can be discussed.

If you new here then please note you can discuss what is being reported on in the mainstream media. Also, discuss what Maleah's mom has stated, and you can offer your opinion as to what happened to Maleah but you cannot randomly accuse family members, neighbors, or anyone who has not been named as a person of interest. Maleah's step-father is the only person of interest so far. However, Maleah's mom is under the media spotlight because we all want to know what she knew about or if she knew about what was going on with her husband and her daughter. You can certainly speculate on what the mother knew but please do not go crazy with unfounded accusations against the mom until we know more.

Thank you,
Tricia

Hope this helps

Timeline - Update #9

July 10, 2018 BB took Maleah to the ER because she was throwing up blood. Doctors reported Maleah was "extremely lethargic." Maleah was treated and released. [35]

July 28, 2018 BB contacted BB2, who was in LA, and stated that Maleah had fallen from a tall chair to a marble table. BB2 advised BB to take Maleah to the hospital. At the hospital, Maleah was observed with a laceration to the forehead. BB denied vomiting or abnormal behavior from Maleah. She also denied seizures or lethargy in the medical record. Maleah's forehead laceration was repaired. No imaging studies were reported as completed. The surgical pathology report revealed a chronic subdural hematoma displaying a prominent fibroblastic proliferation with collagen deposition, numerous small vessels, many hemosiderin-laden macrophages, and acute hemorrhage. [35]

August 1, 2018 BB2 was at work and Maleah was in the care of BB and DV, who lived in the home. BB texted BB2 that something was wrong with Maleah and that her eyes were rolling back. BB2 told BB to take Maleah to the hospital. BB2 did acknowledge that BB had to be told to take Maleah to the hospital. BB took Maleah to the hospital and she was transported to a different hospital where she had a craniectomy to relieve pressure. [35]

Medical professionals stated that the story BB and BB2 told about Maleah falling from a chair would not have caused the serious internal injuries which required half of Maleah's skull to be removed. Doctors ordered that she wear a helmet for 12-24 months while she healed. [35]

August 3, 2018 The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) received a report alleging physical abuse and neglectful supervision. [35]

August 10, 2018 It was determined that the findings of two separate injuries (frontal laceration and a second fracture to the left posterior temporal bone) indicate more than one impact to Maleah's head. [35]

August 14, 2018 The DFPS obtained TMC (temporary managing conservatorship) of all children due to concern about the safety and care of the three children in the home. [35]

Per QX, BB told DV she was returning her ring and was not going to marry him. • He claims that BB told his son, “I'm about to get a Lifetime movie out of this.”
    • JV Sr. said that DV initially helped BB and CD search for Maleah until he was threatened and mobbed, and that BB and CD “came at him real crazy.”

FYI this post by Tricia still applies. I see name calling and some posts stepping over the line regarding the mother.

You may discuss what is stated in MSM but you may not make accusations or insinuations about involvement until the mother is named a suspect or charged.

Neighbors react to recent updates about 4-year-old Maleah Davis

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It is without a doubt that Maleah Davis, her beaming smile, has captured hearts across the world.

Her story has also broken those very hearts, and tonight the outside of her families South Kirkwood home symbolizes just that.

Covered with teddy bears, candles, posters signed by hundreds, the apartment she was last seen going inside of alive, has become a memorial.

"No 4-year old should go through what she went through," said one woman who came to add to the growing memorial.

Many returned today with high emotions. The very home where investigators believe Maleah's life ended.

I am so grateful that precious Maleah has been found. It's one thing to 'know' she's deceased, but so much more healing when the loved ones have the remains to be laid to rest properly.

The fact that this monster threw her out like trash just reinforces what I believed all along, this child has been repeatedly and cruelly treated and abused for a long time. I hope they throw the whole disgusting lot of them in jail. The only true victim in this case is MALEAH. She cannot be harmed ever again.

A couple of random thoughts.

Seems like it's approx. a 13 hour roundtrip drive from Houston to where she was found. Assuming he had roughly 18 hours to do the trip (on camera leaving the apartment at 6:47 pm on 05/03 and the vehicle back on surveillance around 3pm on 05/04).

I'm assuming it was actually him that made the drive and not that he "handed" her off to someone else? Although if that's a route back to his hometown, then possibly he could have had a close friend/family in town and headed back that way and she was given to that person to "dispose of" along the way?

I think most of us are assuming Maleah was deceased before Friday, then how would the smell be bearable for a 6 hour ride there? Sidenote, a few summers ago my kids didn't get all the groceries from the trunk. Started noticing an awful smell 2 days later. The smell was embarrassing and at first I searched under my hood thinking some animal had gotten in there and died. I could smell it on the 2nd floor of my brick home with no windows open and the central air unit going in the spring with temps. around 80. It was a slab of ribs left there. After tossing them, it took minimum 4 weeks for that smell to completely disappear. That's the closest I've come to experiencing decomposing flesh and I've heard it's much worse for humans.

If it was him doing the driving, I'm thinking he only paid for gas in cash along the route? There's no way that gas can would be anywhere near enough for that kind of trip. Of course I know lots of people who have no credit/debit card. Just wondering if he usually uses cards and if the cash required some kind of pre-planning?

Assuming he did the drive, I'm thinking possibly some help for it considering the youngest was with him, though a kid that age could very well sleep from 8pm until 7 or so the next morning making it easier to handle the kid with him being the only adult doing the drive.

We know there is at least one person involved since he was dropped off at the hospital. I'm just wondering how liable someone else is and could there possibly be more serious charges coming to someone else.

One more thought is DV's cell phone and tracking it.

I'm assuming he does have a cell phone, because what adult doesn't these days. They're very necessary.

Anyway, the phone could have been "off" due to non-payment and that would have explained it. I would think he would also have to have left it home and/or powered it off if the service is "off" due to payment issues. I would think a phone in this situation could still be pinged, but I'm not certain on that at all.

If DV has a tracfone/"burner phone" as his primary number, then I guess those don't ping off of towers? I'm still not sure how those work and how much detectives can pull from those.

Otherwise I'm guessing there was a bit of pre-planning with the phone issue and he simply powered it off for the duration of the ride? Otherwise if it was on, then I would think police would have those records by now and would have been able to get many more leads from that avenue.

Just thinking about this scenario.

What if DV brought Maleah back home after dropping his son at daycare and then went to work? (Did he go to work or call in sick)
Leaving Maleah at home with BB.
Or
BB didn’t see Maleah because she was sent to her room because BB and DV were arguing about those p-pics?
BB calls gf J to come early to pick her up early for her flight because of that argument.
DV lashes out at Maleah afterwards.

A work crew mowing Interstate 30 near Fulton — about 330 miles from Houston — discovered a bloodied black garbage bag earlier this week, but left it there, thinking its foul odor was from a discarded animal, the Houston Chronicle reported. Early Friday, a mower struck the bag, tearing it open and scattering its contents, Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton.

“He says it was an accident. And he confessed to me where he dumped her body,” Quanell said. “He felt like he was just totally overwhelmed, because Brittany wasn’t being the mother she should be being.”

Vence reportedly kept track of how long he drove and how far, he continued.

“He said that he pulled over in Arkansas, got out of the car, walked to the side of the road, and dumped the body off the road,” Quanell said, without indicating how the girl may have died.

MALEAH DAVIS: Plane arrives in Houston carrying child's remains recovered from Arkansas

Still processing :( Beautiful little girl, horrible end.

I’d like more info on where DV was April 30-May 3.

Some possibilities
-maleah’s body was not in the laundry basket on May 3. She may have been removed earlier and the laundry basket contained wet, bloody towels from the clean up attempt. He may have attempted to rinse them out but blood stains quickly. A few wet towels are HEAVY. It would’ve been very risky to carry her body out at 6pm-ish.

-someone other than DV took her body to AR

-DV took her body to AR in someone else’s vehicle. That someone may have cared for baby brother as well. Other person may not have known what he was up to.

-in either of the above, someone other than DV was driving the Altima at the Saturday 3pm traffic cam. Likely whoever he traded vehicles with. Again this person may not have known what was going on at that time.

-another adult accompanied DV to AR. The adults traded off driving and caring for baby brother. If they were in someone else’s vehicle, and that person did the gas pumping I’m not sure we’d ever know. If DV stayed low in the car he might not be seen on video (if there is one).

All moo

But I really think the simplest scenario is what happened—DV removed the body on Friday, drove straight to AR disposal site and turned back around. Baby brother was probably with someone else. I just can’t reconcile a toddler in a wet dirty diaper with no food or drink for 26+ hours with not being admitted at least overnight for observation.
