@NoSI What does "completed" suicide mean? A previous attempt at committing suicide had failed and this second attempt was successful?

Hi @ RumorMonger. A "completed" suicide refers to a "successful" suicide (but hate that wording).... There is attempted suicide (includes suicide attempts) and completed suicide (the suicide attempt led to death). Please let me know if you have any questions. :)

He was told not to leave after he spoke with a lie detector person. He then left anyway and walked off base. This is what the family attorney said. They immediately started looking for him.
And then got a gun and killed himself when confronted ? So convenient and yes I can’t help it - I think there is more to this IMO

Whew... thanks for re-posting -- hated the idea she made bail!

Charge Description: Offense unknown
Crime Class: 3rd-Degree Felony

PENAL CODE CHAPTER 12. PUNISHMENTS.

Sec. 12.34. THIRD DEGREE FELONY PUNISHMENT. (a) An individual adjudged guilty of a felony of the third degree shall be punished by imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for any term of not more than 10 years or less than 2 years.

(b) In addition to imprisonment, an individual adjudged guilty of a felony of the third degree may be punished by a fine not to exceed $10,000.
I’ve never seen a murder to cover up something like that, and I don’t think it makes sense in light of what we do know.

This man appears to have killed her, and then enlisted his gf to help him. If this was some sort of bizarre conspiracy involving other military personnel, then those would have been the ones to help him.

If he did leave her in the pelican case and leave to go pick up disposal supplies (as is being alleged by the family attorney), then this seems to be a more spontaneous act.

He wasn’t prepared.

To what you said: If Robinson wasn't her supervisor or work in the same building (They said that in the PC). Why would she be going into work with him? Or why would they call her to? But she ended up in one of the Commander's Pelican cases. You have to have a security clearance to work in the Arms Room and if she didn't work in the same building as Robinson why would she go there? To confront him about someone else estranged/Ex wife? Maybe they think everyone is related to Johnny Lunchmeat to believe that.

I read a post on another site that said the arms room is in the basement of the building, is this true? Also where would the arms room be for her unit? The motor pool area?

The arms rooms for 3CR squadrons are almost all exclusively in the basement of squadron buildings, and for the Regimental Support Squadron (RSS), all of the companies had their arms rooms along the same basement corridor. That is to say, if I was going to my company's arms room, I would walk past the arms room for other companies in our squadron along the way.

Much obliged @Texas68W and welcome to WS.

I'm very sorry this tragedy happened at a location known to you and with people that are probably like family to a service member like yourself.

In your opinion, is an E4 the appropriate rank to be in charge of a secure room where weapons and other sensitive items are stored?

(Not to make light of this subject but I'm thinking of lance Cpl Gomer Pyle).

Thanks for the welcome @Seattle1, hopefully I'm following rules/policies of the site in the right way.

I am also very sorry it happened within 3CR, it's horrible and I think about it quite a bit...the what-ifs, what-could-have-beens, and whatnot. This whole ordeal has made me want to go back into the Army, and do something....what that something is, I don't know, but I can't do much sitting here.

E4 may not be the appropriate rank to be in charge of an arms room, but I know that in my company, our armorer was an E4 for my entire time there. Sometimes, the personnel isn't available to fill every slot needed for leadership positions so you go to a senior specialist to fill the role. It gives them leadership experience and looks good when they go to the promotion board.

In my company's case, if someone needed to get into the arms room, we went to that E4 for access.

Where did the attorney get this information? Who told her this? Any reliable source? If they know all this then why hasn't it been confirmed it's Vanessa?:eek:o_O
As was mentioned in my post: The information in this article is cited as being shared by the family Atty Kwaham as related to her by the US Army Criminal Investigation Unit.

@ImDone.... Is it correct to assume that tools, like a hammer, and a Pelican case would be naturally present in an armory?
Yes. Supply Sergeants order mostly everything for the military. Paper, Light bulbs, pencils, pens, tools, tool boxes for mechanics etc. That case is used to put equipment in for lets say like when they go to the field for training, deployments etc. And believe it or not the Commander is signed for the case as well. Will probably have to pay for it. Property Book items.

What it comes down to is that a base is many people’s home, whether they live in barracks, or on base housing. I thank my lucky stars there weren’t cameras everywhere on the Marine base I was stationed (drunken shenanigans).

Where you do expect to see cameras, is at access control points and secure areas.

While I would have also wanted privacy in my youth for some similar reasons, there were active patrols back in the day that would have been keeping people safe. So, I can agree that secure areas and access points are the most likely areas but unless there are active patrolling of areas around the base, it makes sense to me to have cameras, specially at this base where there seems to be a whole lot of wrong going on.

I was in the military 30 1/2 years. I've never heard of are saw a E4 in charge of an Arms Rooms. But nothing surprises me with what they call 3CRC.

Yes, I do believe the family was told this, but I don’t believe it’s going to pan out.

He needed to tell his girlfriend something that would convince her to help him, but wouldn’t be so bad that she’d refuse.

So it’s a lie.
I'm not so sure it's a lie. According to Vanessa's family, she specifically said that the harassment was coming from a superior. It has been established that AR was not her superior, nor in her chain of command. I tend to suspect that these are two separate events.

Again though as far as a E4 running a Arms Room, I suppose this is what everyone is calling the 'New Army'. Nothing against you just was letting you know what my tour was like. I worked for and served with some of the Best!

MOO, MY theory as to what could have happened:

As far as to what caused the incident, I can't really speak to as it could have been any number of things.

I think there was some sort of confrontation and Vanessa ended up getting killed. I tend to think that the fatal blow was something that didn't cause a lot of blood spatter or even a lot of rapid blood loss. AR hid her in the pelican case (which would have contained all blood inside and not spilled out onto the floor), left to get supplies for clean up and then took her elsewhere (possibly dump site) and used dismemberment and bludgeoning in an attempt to make identifying the remains difficult with the help of CA. Since repairs are done within the arms room, small droplets of blood that got cleaned up probably were common.

Just my thoughts.

Edited for spelling

Gonna have to word this carefully... Could Robinson have been asked to silence Vanessa by whoever called her in to work? I know, i know... it's a stretch but...
The article posted here said Robinson wasn't the one who called her. I'm still trying to figure out why she was there if she didn't work for him and worked in a different building according to what was said in their PC.

Cecily Aguilar: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

1. Cecily Aguilar Was Arrested Around 4 AM on July 1
Aguilar was arrested around 4 a.m. on July 1, but her name wasn’t added publicly to Bell County’s inmate roster until later in the day. Her mugshots and details were briefly removed from the website, but they were added back a few hours later. [..] She was born in 1998. Her Facebook posts indicate that she has a child.
Aguilar also had a theft case in Bell County from December 2019.

2. She’s Friends with Robinson on Facebook & the Guillen Family’s Attorney Says They’re Dating
According to KVUE, Aguilar is the ex-wife or estranged wife of a former soldier who was once at Fort Hood. She’s friends with an Aaron Robinson on Facebook. In fact, both of her Facebook profiles (one under the name of Cecily Brown and one under the name of Cecily Aguilar) are both friends with Robinson. [..] Officials have not named Aguilar as a suspect.
On February 22, Aguilar posted on Facebook that she was in a relationship, lists she lives in Jackson, Michigan. [..] Her ex-husband said on social media a week before Robinson died that he had been shot at and some paperwork had stopped the bullet.

3. Her Social Media Posts Talked About ‘Selling Feet Pics,’ Wanting a Sugar Daddy, & Having a Dark Side
[..] In March she posted that was “looking for a real #sugadaddy.” This was after she posted on Facebook in February that she was in a relationship. [..]
She posted the video above about five weeks ago on May 25, about a month after Guillen disappeared, along with multiple other videos and photos on the same day. In one she wrote: “People who fight fire with fire end up with the ashes of their own integrity.”

3. Aaron Robinson Killed Himself After Authorities Wanted to Question Him in Connection with Guillen’s Disappearance

Robinson, a soldier in Fort Hood, had fled the post on Tuesday, KXXV reported, and officials were trying to locate him. When they tried to make contact with him when they found him walking on East Rancier Avenue in Killeen, he shot himself, dying on the scene. [..]

4. The Family Attorney Says Guillen’s Death Was Connected to Sexual Harassment
Khawam told ABC 7 that Guillen was the victim of two instances of sexual harassment, but she feared retaliation and didn’t report them. In one case, her superior walked in while she was showering. In another, someone made vulgar remarks toward her in Spanish. CNN reported that one of the people harassing her was one of her sergeants.

On July 2, the Army held a press conference and said they had not found any evidence to corroborate claims that Guillen had been sexually harassed, and they couldn’t connect Robinson to sexual harassment claims. Guillen’s family has said Guillen didn’t file an official report because she feared retaliation, and the family attorney is pushing for legislation to allow soldiers to file reports without fear of an internal review that would leave them feeling unsafe.

5. Human Remains Found Near Leon River May Be Guillen’s & One Official Said Her Remains Were Covered in Concrete
Guillen, 20, was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. She was last seen at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in the parking lot of the Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, according to an Army press release. She’s a Private First Class in the Army, CNN reported.

Guillen’s sister, Mayra Guillen, said she last spoke with her sister the night before she was last seen. They talked about how Vanessa had planned to buy a new car. Guillen had been working earlier in the day in the armory room. Her car keys, barracks room key, identification card and wallet were found in the armory room. Her car was also still at Fort Hood. [..]

Partial human remains were discovered near Leon River on Tuesday, KSAT reported. Kawham said those remains are believed to be Guillen’s.

He was told not to leave after he spoke with a lie detector person. He then left anyway and walked off base. This is what the family attorney said. They immediately started looking for him.
They didn't happen to notice he was gone? Quite sure he was at the MP station, but then again IDK. The area he shot himself is a pretty good distance from the MP station if that's where they did the lie detector test. If not mistaken 4700 Rancier, that's past Long Branch park and not to far from the Juvenile Detention.

If he wasn’t her supervisor and didn’t sexually harass her (not that I don’t believe Vanessa’s claims) then what would be his motivation for killing her? They made it sound like they barely knew each other in passing. We all know that random killings happen but are incredibly uncommon.

Totally see your guys' point of view, and we all know how one unit can be a fine-tuned machine and another unit can be a soup sandwich. This is what many troops (what a calvary unit calls a company, for those who didn't serve) did during my time in 3CR, which was within the last five years.

What the case usually was is: the primary armorer was an E5+, but the alternate was an E4 who essentially acted as the primary armorer. The chain of command would choose an E4 who lived in the barracks to be the alternate because if someone needed access at a random time of the day (or weekend), an E4 who lives in the barracks located above the arms room on the second or third floor is easier to get ahold of.

And where would he have dismembered the body? I wonder if he was a suspect early on and they already knew some of these things. I would think they would have treated the armory room as a potential crime scene from the beginning. Wasn't she last seen leaving and walking to her car in the parking lot? Never to be seen again? Or was that a different parking lot?

I may be incorrect...
But from what I have read so far on this thread...
(With MSM...)
AR bludgeoned and killed VG...:-(

And CA used the machete to dismember her...
Perhaps she had help from AR...

But all I've read is that AR used a hammer...
And CA used a machete...
(as far as weapons go...
So not including lime, cement, etc...)

All JMO...

I think he saw an opportunity, one that hadn’t appeared before. She wasn’t even supposed to be there, but she was.

I think they were alone, and he made advances. She fought back, and lost to a stronger, enraged man.
