"Everyone Lies, Everyone Dies" - Casey's MS, "Diary of Days", Blog Entry

If you look across the top of the diary of days(MySpace) page on which KC wrote "everyone lies, everyone dies" you'll notice that it has a header. That header reads, on the left side "Life is tough" and on the other side "Get a helmet."
Cindy also does the "diary of days" thing so there is no doubt in my mind that this was something shared between mother and daughter. Perhaps as a means by which to share their days with one another, a bonding ritual.
The entry that Cindy made on hers ridiculing KC about stealing, and the fact that SHE had been the one responsible for Caylee (in so may words) all these years is dated July 3rd. She also goes on about being denied access to Caylee, not knowing where she was.
KC's infamous "everyone lies, everyone dies" entry came four days later along with that header that, if in response to Cindys entry, would be a slap in the face. I believe that's the way it was intended. I think this entry was in direct response to what Cindy posted, KNOWING full well that KC would see it, it would illicit a response, and KC did respond...with that July 7th entry.
I don't know where KC got the poem, lyrics, whichever. Do I think it's possible that she wrote it? Absolutely. Writers of poetry and such often write much differently than one would imagine. Classic example...Helen Keller.
But regardless of where KC got it, the message I think, at least from my perspective, is pretty clear. This was directed at someone. If you start at that argument reportedly on June 15th, the fact that KC moved out, that Cindy was denied access to Caylee, Cindy's MySpace entry on July 3rd...and THEN look at Kc's July 7th entry, I think it's pretty apparent who it was directed at and why.
I have six grown children, all in their mid twenties..let me translate the "everyone lies, everyone dies" thing for you. Translation. "LIFE'S A B*TCH MOM, SUCKS BEING YOU, GET OVER IT."

FWIW...IIRC, the computer forensics indicate the Diary of Days MSWord doc was created on the laptop on 7/2. That doesn't mean it was finished, only that a file was created with that name on that date. So, the idea to write it started as early as 7/2, before Cindy posted her 7/3 Myspace entry.

I think it goes beyond being a spoiled brat... she is seriously a sociopath/psychopath. She has no feelings for anyone but herself.
Spoiled kids do grow up and learn responsibilty. Sadly, she never did.

Just wanted to add... if people could read the poems and essays my youngest son wrote for the past several years, it would scare the heck out of them. He wrote very dark and moody stuff about dying. Weird stuff I don't even understand. But he has not killed anyone, and otherwise he is pretty normal. He's 23.

Me too TxLady! My son is also 23 and his Myspace page and poems can be quite dark. My daughter is 32 and this worries her sometimes (for no particular reason other than it is dark) He's a good kid, OK, not a kid, a young man and a good Dad. I sometimes have to make myself think back to my hippie days and how some of the things that I wrote or said could have been interpreted. Or even the music! My favorite was Black Sabbath. which sent my mother over the edge!

Regardless, I think this "diary of days" that started out as a mother/daughter thing deteriorated into a p*ssing contest between them. My youngest daughter, 21, does it to me all the time. She won't say anything to ME, but then she posts garbage like that that I know is directed at me on her MySpace..without actually saying it. It infuriates me. That's why she does it.
We don't know what may have been written or said between the two of them before either entry was made, and I think the "everyone lies, everyone dies" thing was directed at Cindy.

I think this needs to be looked at again.

If this is indeed true about this being the song playing, it could mean something. IMO

What I find odd about this song is that Casey formed herself to fit in with whomever she was hanging with at the time. According to everyone in the docs AL was a hip hop kind of guy. This is NOT a hip hop song.

Then I got to thinking, what if (since she does believe her own lies) she wrote down where she put Caylee? Where is some where that she would put it, behind something? If she was staying at AL's then I'd have to say some where in her car or maybe it was in her wallet behind her ID. Trying to think like her I'd put it behind a picture of Caylee, maybe her hospital picture. I mean, who would look there but maybe someday Cindy? The person she wanted to hurt the most.

After reading this post, I realize that Casey WAS in her parents home AFTER she "misplaced" Caylee.

How about BEHIND the birth record on the wall in Caylee's room ? The ONE that CINDY made when Caylee was born. Sounds possible 2 me ?? And.....what reason during a search would LE have to take a pic off Caylee's wall ? NONE IMO....I wish someone not emotionally vested in this case could look to satisfy my gut feeling.

The line is actually

"With great power, comes great responsibility."

But close! Looks like she stole a bunch of lines from a lot of different places.

The line that Casey used is from the movie "Jumper". I saw a receipt from Blockbuster (I've been trying to find it) with this movie rental on it.

I'll help you look..I think I know where I saw it.

Interesting. Everything on this user's page (name:aworkinggirl) has been wiped off. It's blank except for age (22) and sex (girl). Here is her profile information:

Bio it started out as an embarassing way to pay the bills, it turned into a whole new lease on life. turning tricks. working the corner. prostitution. *advertiser censored*. *advertiser censored*. harlot. call girl. escort. prostitute. alive. in a whole new way.
Nice find, Agave! It's pretty interesting. This person joined 6 days after the tot mon turned 22. Similar writing style, i.e. no caps, comma splices.

The first sentence sounds like the beginning of a movie trailer: "It started out as...It turned into..."

The unknown diarist says:
a whole new lease on life
a whole new way

The tot mom says:
a brand new day
Bella Vida (beautiful life)

When did she join that dating site? The one where she made herself sound like Suzy Creamcheese? Gotta find that. The girl was creating a parallel universe for herself on the web. There she could wear whichever mask suited her at the moment.

I don't know how to bring over quotes from other threads so I will cut and paste this here. Baznme found one of the quotations from KC's poems. It's right in the trailer for JUMPER (one of the two movies KC and Tony rented on June 16th)!

Here is Baznme's post from another thread:

"Diary of Days entry that reads "With great power come great consequences....."

It seems to come from the movie: "JUMPER". Didn't TonE and KC rent this movie from Blockbuster on the 16th of June?

Casey's and Cindy's writing should be entered in the contest "It was a dark and stormy night..." Their attempts at writing are hysterical, like CA's myspace titled "My Caylee is missing", "ah, a mothers love" or something equally as bad and KC's "poem" "remember the words spoken".
Gag, they made my eyes hurt when I read them. No Pulitzer material here, thats for sure.:D

Thank you for posting that!
That description is SO creepy in this context. I didn't realize she had borrowed lines directly from the film! I think Diary of Days is really interesting/significant for a bunch of reasons-- and reading that description re-ignited my interest.
Were other lines from the Diary of Days borrowed from other sources as well?
I'm glad I wish I could take the day off to dedicate myself to trolling Casey Anthony's media consumption. :bang:

I don't think that we've found any other direct quotes yet. I find it very interesting too and have done a little bit of searching.

"Everyone lies... everyone dies" is a line from House, MD. So is the "life is tough, get a helmet" quote.

We just watched seasons 1&2 and I heard both phrases in there. I can try to track down which eps they were and maybe find a clip.

everyone lies, everyone dies......and then casey fries. sorry, just had to say that.

the other movie she rented with Jumper was
Untraceable
