JLM's clothes

Hello Conductor71- check out post #34 in this thread. That picture, which is a still shot and NOT black and white, shows him the night of the abduction. He is not in all white.

I hope he is enjoying his NEW clothes!!

JM must have changed his shirt sometime before he made contact with HG because when he was with her he had on a white t-shirt but earlier based on the photos in the one Coy Barefoot article he was wearing a unbuttoned blue and white checkered collared shirt and under it was a maroon shirt that looks like it could be a wife beater. I wonder why he changed his shirt.

I too agree he did not change his clothes, it just looks white in the cctv because it was night time and all light colors from yellow, pink, light blue, tan, khaki, etc looks white and darker colors look gray to black. IMO, LE was just drawing inferences based on that.

In jail if you act crazy or suicidal they give you a special vest thingie that can not be twisted or contorted into a noose. Underneath that they are naked so perhaps that is what he was talking about. They don't even get a blanket.

If someone is in one of those vest they are segregated from others completely and checked on every 15 minutes.

The others are given a blanket, mattress, jumpsuit, underwear, and socks. Normally you are required to remain clothed at all times, not sure about being shirtless, I guess it depends on the jail.

The only time JLM would be without clothes would be very briefly while in a paper smock to be checked by medical, which is also where they screen for suicidal tendencies among everything else. At no time are prisoners just left in a cell without covering.

I haven't the slightest idea why JLM was so concerned about his clothing. He really must not be in his right mind....

Ok so in the pic in post #34 on this thread, he just doesn't "look" like a serial killer to me...

Don't attack me! I am not saying he isn't. I am just saying that this is one of the many photos indicating how easily he could change his appearance. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if they were interested in ALL of his clothing in case it was used in other crimes and because he changed his appearance so easily. Perhaps they have an idea of what he was wearing in the Fairfax attack or when he drove cab.

I too am wondering about the shirt change from Blue Light to Tempo. I read in coy's article he was wearing a blue and white checkered shirts at Blue Light, when he tried to take the womens shoes off and she told JLM to "get the *&*& away from me". In the video at the mall he looks like he is wearing all white, but I read it was a green parrot shirt. Same shorts he loved.

Wouldn't it be just a like an emergency room technician to get into "scrubs" before getting messy?

After he changed his clothes, he was on the prowl for his victim and he knew where he was taking her, he drugged her with the last drink at Tempo. JMO.

Brainstorming with the best - here at WS.

BBM.
Missed that, and it's very interesting- where did you read this?

Just like MJPeony above, I did not see that information anywhere. Are you sure you aren't getting confused with his presence at a bar called The Lazy Parrot around 10 p.m. that night? http://insidecville.com/blog/ljs-timeline/

Pictures and descriptions have him wearing a blue and white checked shirt over a burgundy tank top. In the security footage, the blues and whites blur together, appearing as an all-white shirt.

If you read back at the beginning of this thread- this has been discussed (at length). After Hannah's body was found LE said they were looking for the blue checkered button- up shirt. I do not have the exact link at the moment, but this is the best of my recollection.

Bouncer interviewed at the door said JLM was sweating a lot.

IMO he could have walked to his car parked nearby after leaving Tempos the first time...... and changed clothing then.

Not at all unusual for a bachelor to have a spare shirt in the car or even cleaned laundry.

As for why he changed his shirt, it could be the sweat.....he couldve bumped into someone and had alcohol spilled on him...the girl from the interview couldve thrown alcohol on him and left that out of her narrative...etc etc.

No ones knows without any more eyewitness testimony.

At this point if LE hasnt found the blue and white checked shirt, I think their chances are slim. If JLM had it with him on the way to Texas it could have been ditched at any point between Va and there.

Several posters here at WS referred to his shirt as "parrot green," but they were talking about the shirt he was wearing on the video pictures from the convenience store he went into in Texas.

Don't think he changed clothes during that night/morning on the Downtown Mall. As others have said, that blue-white checkered shirt looks white on the videos from Sal's and Tuel's.

Johnson raises his phone at 11:55pm and grabs a photo of the scene. In the image (at right) people are crowded around the Blue Light bar, and LJ Matthew is clearly visible from behind. According to eyewitnesses, he is wearing a checkered shirt over a burgundy tank top with baggy white cargo shorts and socks with Crocs. (photo of blue-checkered shirt at link)

Earlier in the day, police revealed that they had taken bags of clothing from Matthew's apartment during a second search on Monday, although police would not elaborate on who the clothing belonged to or how they are connected to the case.

A new search warrant was issued Monday for the apartment of Jesse Matthew, who police believe was the last person to see Hannah Graham before the 18-year-old college student disappeared on September 13.

Authorities found specific clothing they were looking for, Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo said Tuesday morning on CNN’s “New Day.” The clothing was sent to a lab for analysis, and results might be back by Tuesday afternoon, according to the chief.

After removing clothes from the car and Matthew's apartment for DNA testing, police had released a wanted poster for him and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Police believe Graham was wearing a shiny, silver sequined crop top with black mesh toward the bottom and black Capri pants with white shoes. She was carrying an iPhone 5S in a pink case.

"If you see something that fits items description, don't touch them. Call us, we'll send an officer to recover those items," said Chief Longo. He also urged people to recall seeing Matthew or a blue Nissan, orange Chrysler around Graham's disappearance on Sept. 13.

***REVISED statement

(Not sure this is the right place to post, but since I just came across your post AND the email, I'll post here. The author just wrote me back with the following:

There is a sentence in this article that says, "[Police] have since pulled nearly two dozen items, including clothing, from Matthew's home."
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/lo...276458931.html

While that does not explicitly say all the items belonged to Graham, it is meant to sound that way since they were looking for evidence to place her there. Regardless, I shouldn't have made that assumption. Here is my updated article.
http://www.universityherald.com/arti...m?exe=reporter

This time I cited a Washington Post article that was clearer on the subject.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, it is important to always keep in mind what I'm reading and where it is posted.

Charlottesville police named Matthew a suspect after removing clothes from his car and apartment for DNA testing. Police have not revealed the results of those tests, but it was at that time when a warrant was issued for Matthew with the abduction charge.

Police have asked property owners to check large areas of land and any vacant properties for signs of Hannah Graham - maybe her clothes, a silver crop top with mesh cut outs and black leggings, or her pink iPhone.

Team Rubicon is joining the search for the first time. The national veteran-based group typically focuses on disaster relief, but wanted to answer this call for help.

In addition to signs of Graham, searchers are looking for articles of clothing Matthew was wearing that night she disappeared: a blue checkered shirt, light pants, and Crocs.

Wednesday's heavy rain may make things more difficult, Longo says. Items such as her pink iPhone 5s may have potentially become submerged with the heavy rain.

In addition to the phone, police are looking for clothing from Graham and Matthew. In a search of Matthew's home, the blue-checkered shirt, light-colored cargo pants and Crocs investigators believe he was wearing when Graham disappeared were not found.

Hannah’s remains found.
"Sometime before noon today, a search team from the Chesterfield Sheriff's Department was searching an abandoned property on Old Lynchburg road in southern Albemarle County when they discovered what appears to be human remains,” Longo said.

There are most likely additional MSM statements out there. This is a start and can be added to as other statements are posted/located.

First time I've ever read that. Is this University Herald website the only place this was reported? I would think that would have been huge news in multiple MSM sites, if true.

Post #93 above lists a news article from the University Herald on October 8, 2014 stating that during a search of Matthew's apartment some of Hannah's clothing was found. I had not heard that before. I clicked on the link for the University Herald but can't find a search box. Anyone know anything about this?

"Police searched Matthew's apartment and found several of Graham's possessions, including clothing, though Longo did not discuss the evidence against the suspect"

That was never stated by LE. I actually emailed the author and he said he made that assumption because of this quote from http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/l...nt-in-Search-for-Hannah-Graham-276458931.html "[Police] have since pulled nearly two dozen items, including clothing, from Matthew's home."

He has since corrected the story with a different, clearer source: http://www.universityherald.com/art...h-case-against-jesse-matthew.htm?exe=reporter

I just asked about the same thing in the post right after yours, LOL I never read this thread but decided to take a look tonight. Can that possibly be correct?
