True. In this case, a man who is described almost like a clown with his orange shoes and red pants (it has been explained the men near the park dress this way) was seen luring Dulce towards the buildings with the red and white stripes.

Where did she go, where was he parked?

Interesting. Hadn’t read that men dress that way. Is that because of the zoo near by? Uniform maybe? I think that if he were in costume he would have drawn much more attention to himself...unless said costume was worn without anyone seeing— put on behind building. . I know it was said that three witnesses were taken back to the park. (Two women and a small child) I wonder if any identified the suspected individual as being in character or not ? If so, why conceal that fact, I wonder? It might help a community member identify the individual.

Yes it would attract attention. I was looking at it only from the perspective of how quickly Dulce left, almost as if she had run to him.

The only character that came to mind with black shirt, red pants and orange shoes was Mickey Mouse (and he wears yellow shoes.) Her family might know of a character she loves that much.

No, the fault lies with the state and local authorities who, in order to make a political point, released two dangerous rapists back into the community. This has nothing to do with caring about the safety of the local community.

I don't know where the link is off the top, but 51% of the 25,000 population is Hispanic and even the mother of the missing child is on video wearing red pants and black shirt, like the suspect. It sounds odd outside of Bridgeton, but the gist is that dressing with orange, red, black is normal at the playground in Bridgeton.

How many people were at the basketball court, I saw an article that said two dozen?
If so, that’s 24 people making noise and moving all over the court.
And where were their vehicles parked? Probably the parking lot closest to the basketball court.
Where was her mother parked? And how did she have a clear view of the 3 and 5 year old? Why did she stay in the car with the older one? My first concern would be the little ones not being able to watch them closely.

Absolutely agree with you on the van. Van appears to be a nothing burger and LE didn't appear convinced in this press conference as you clearly point out. There must be a reason for no communication from LE too, so I wonder if they are closing in on a possible suspect?

More likely they have no clue whatsoever where she is and they don't have anything of importance to communicate. Also agree that they are not sure about the van, so all the discussion about the man with red pants, black shirt and orange sneakers might be useless as this guy might not have any connection to the case or maybe doesn't exist.

Holy cow, only 10 minutes after getting to the playground she disappeared?

The mother is 19 and pregnant with her third child? Wow, that makes me tired just thinking about being that young with 3 little ones!

Are there no benches or places to sit near the playground?

Yes there are benches right in the playground area.

The fact that the playground was under construction and appears to have materials laying around would be a safety concern to me, not to mention there is not really a clear line of site from the parking lot- but then again I am a nervous nelly!

Listen to this DA. Time- 10:08 on. I’m not convinced they are convinced about the van, but rather used this as an opportunity to get her name and image to the masses. A van, a truck...? This was just something they did to “cover their bases” to paraphrase her in so many words. I do think it’s a distraction to make the abductor comfortable. I did see and read about vans being stopped and searched but I’m thinking they are withholding information. (Rightfully). I’ll say it again, with that great footage of the suv in that parking lot they have likely seen every every vehicle that entered/exited.

It was quite vague- it just said amber alert red van call 911. It was posted on NJ highways after the amber alert was issued Tuesday night but was removed by the end of the week. I wonder if it was just too vague and they were spreading themselves thin looking at all red van type vehicles or if they learned something more that prompted them to take it down? Or maybe there is a time limit on how long they can keep it posted ?

Something else I noticed - around the 1:50 mark the prosecutor mentions bringing in fbi media specialist to get the word out.
I think they consciously chose the grandma to make the public appeal for help instead of mom. After the false reports of mom involvement and public perception that she didn’t seem upset enough - the grandma would garner more compassion and come across more likeable than the mom. Definitely a smart move.
Especially interesting that grandma did not want to provide her name because she was already getting harassed by media at her home. Mom name and face was already out there so why put more attention on the grandma in her position without a reason ?
