Can Doc or other medical people tell me please if the delay in finding Allison would have masked all of the following signs of smothering?

TIA :)

"Throughout the investigation of a death by suffocation or smothering the pathologist will look for the tell tale signs: the bloodshot eyes, the high levels of carbon dioxide in the blood and will also look for bruising around the nose and mouth and may even collect trace evidence such as hairs and fibres from around the nose and mouth of the deceased."

It's weird you said that because when I first saw the right hand side pillow in the bedroom I got bad chills.

Does anyone else remember the missing pillow case in the beginning?
AND I noticed in one of the girls rooms there was a cushion on the bed and not a proper pillow. Actually the same design of cushion on the lounge.

Thanks Laiden! Great post. Love hearing about these two champs making that grub squirm !
Hollow victory but still like it. This guy can't walk.
Btw- from experience as the girls got older they would be harder to manipulate with his false stories of how good of a daddy he was . Background pressure almost daily I would suspect.

Would genuinely like to agree. But children who're manipulated by narcissists go a bit numb in the memory department, based on what I've observed. For example, knew a couple really well. Father was close to a saint - closest I've met. The mother was a bone-deep narcissist. The father left his air-conditioned vehicle for his wife every day, even though she didn't get out of bed until noon (no exaggeration). And the father rode a bone-breaking motor bike about 50 kilometres out to the mines each day. And 50 kilometres return trip. All in stinking heat

Before the father left for work, he made breakfast for his children, changed the younger one's nappy, settled them down with something to entertain them. The children and father were well aware by that stage that mum was not to be disturbed. On one occasion, the girls got a stool and into the fridge, looking for boiled eggs, because they were so hungry and Narcissist Mum was still flat on her back asleep. They smashed almost an entire carton of raw eggs, one after another

Twenty years went by and the elder daughter was now a mother herself. On a trip down to the coast, she dropped in to see me, baby and husband in tow, to ask if I'd mind caring for the baby for the day (turned out to be 18 hours without word from her, plus she'd brought the toddler son of her sister in law along to be minded also)

We were talking about her childhood and she commented on how great her own husband was with the baby, etc. and how useless her own father had been when she was a child. I said, 'But don't you remember how great your dad was? Don't you remember how he did this and that for you?'. No. She said she had no memory of it, adding, 'Mum always said he was the most selfish, useless ... blabla'

I couldn't believe it. Her father went above and beyond for his children, always gentle, teaching by leading, sacrificing for them daily, putting up with their mother. All forgotten, wiped away by the narcissistic mother. The kids had been brain-washed and had lost all those wonderful memories of their father as if none of what he'd done for them had ever happened

Because court proceedings stopped suddenly when the blog was introduced. Then there was legal discussion and there was no more talk of the blog. Just guessing.
No just wondering what was wrong with the blog??

That is something to ask a lawyer - I have no idea but I guess the defence may have thought the blog was admissible for whatever reason. Alioop?

How very sad laserdisc10 makes you wonder how many children have experienced this same situation.

From memory she was positively identified via dental records.

So by dental records, G felt confident about phoning the Insurance Company?
Correction,...... (Apologies; time miscalculated by one day .....)
Prior to positive identification, G felt confident about phoning Insurance Company re payout?

Sad situation . Obviously depends on the children. Genes are an incredible thing. No two snowflakes are the same. Sad how kids are such a powerful weapon in some situations .

It's sad, you're right. The incident proved to me the power of that woman, their mother. The daughter was no fool, either, yet those memories of their patient, loving father -- which should have been treasured by his daughters -- were wiped away like crumbs on a counter, apparently, via the persuasive, vicious power of the narcissist mother. Wouldn't have believed it possible before the conversation with the daughter

Thank you. Does anyone know why this page was shown to GBC by the defence today?

To me this was too little too late. It shows how thoughtful and proactive Allison was in getting her marriage together. She used self help books to assist her understand the dynamics of her relationship and marriage. These notes are comments she makes about things in herself/relationship she would like to improve and the book will tell her how to go about that so she notes the relevant page numbers down.

Mr Fuller: Was she working at Raine and Horne when you were there?

Mr Baden-Clay: Yes.

Mr Fuller: So you worked for them for a time, got your experience?

Mr Baden-Clay: Correct.

Mr Fuller: And then set up right next door?

Mr Baden-Clay: Correct.

Mr Fuller: Did you sleep with Michelle Hammond while you were still working for Raine and Horne or when you set up next door?

Mr Baden-Clay: It was after I had left Raine and Horne.

Mr Fuller: So you took their business and then had an affair with one of their employers?

Mr Baden-Clay: Correct.

If Mr Fuller were to find himself @ I'Pilly Maccas, there'd be a Happy Meal on me. :blushing:

Ive just remembered... Carol Overington. . who has been doing the tweets from the court ,relayed into here by those specialist WebSleuthers with astounding reliability.. ..

she wrote a book about a murder.. a horrible thing, ..Jamie Ramage.. he murdered his wife.. but he used, as a defence , the concept of Provocation. His sentence so outraged the general public that the law of Provocation has been struck from the books since his case...

Wouldn't Gerard have loved to plead on those grounds.. Alison being provocatively depressed and compliant, and civil and non violent.. non abusive and forgiving..

yeah provocation was replaced with 'defensive homicide' which has been in the news in the past few weeks as they are changing it again as this was being exploited by thugs. One chased his girlfriend and killed her and pleaded this 'defensive homicide' and was found guilty of it. It was obvious muderous rage.

Remember the photos of Allison's girls at her funeral? Very telling, imo. The arms crossed over their chests and holding their own hands, held tight by their bodies as GBC tried to hide behind them. Yet they were happy to hold hands with Mr and Mrs Dickie just moments later

Does anyone else remember a post in the early threads where it was said that it was planned but wasn't meant to happen for another month ?

Not sure why happening a month later would have made a difference ?

Are we having a meet and greet? We should have a party after GBC is convicted.

If newbies are invited, I would so LOVE to meet you all! It'd be cool to try and guess usernames. Trooper, if you've blown all your money on fast women and fast food, the chicks are gonna spring for a room.

Yes, I remember. Not sure why another month, unless it was to coincide with GBCs promise to be with TM unconditionally. The insurance would have lapsed though, wouldn't it? No pay-out?
