This tragedy seems to be breaking news:

ADMIN NOTE:

As Kaylee's parents said she was "a websleuth", we don't know if they meant she was an actual WSer or if it was used in a more generic sense.

If any member or guest reading here knows that Kaylee was in fact a Websleuths member, and her user ID, please send me a private message to advise. Tricia has asked me to find out as she would like to send flowers or make a donation to something in Kaylee's name.

Thank you.

Please read The Rules (linked in my signature), and continue discussion here.

Also, for anyone other than victims or an officially named POI/suspect, use initials or your post will be removed.

No sleuthing or insinuations/accusations against anyone who is not officially named a POI/suspect by LE.

The following Johnny Law youtube was originally posted by Mayboy1998 earlier today but because it was not a podcast host we were familiar with and we did not have time to view it in its entirety, it was removed. Having now had time to view it, it is being approved on a one-time basis because it does seem to provide an excellent analysis of the layout of the house, where individuals may have been sleeping, and it speaks to the location of the red liquid in relation to the overall layout of the house.

Thread is open again.

When someone posts a rumor, please do NOT respond. Just Report and let us nip it in the bud.

Responding makes a lot of extra work for us, and we get cranky when we have to read through almost an entire thread to find and clean up 25+ responses about something that should never have been posted in the first place.

Thank you.

Thread 13, post #977 has the pic with obvious berries on the tree right next to the deck.

Sorry, can't get it to link.

We don't quote post numbers because those can change over time due to Mods having to remove posts.

The following will help everyone know how to quote a post from elsewhere and then your link will not change due to moderation:

ADMIN NOTE:

This post lands at random

To any members who have complained about removal of their off topic posts and TOs issued for derailing the discussion.

There is a very good reason Off Topic posts are a violation of Websleuths TOS.

First of all, the threads are not personal chat or comedy rooms. Off topic posts derail the thread, making the thread all about you and what you want to talk about. Each day, hundreds of members and thousands of guests come to Websleuths to read about the topic the thread is dedicated to, not to read about you or your life or what you think is funny. It is disrespectful to the victims who these threads are dedicated to.

The one thread you post off topic in is not the only active thread that Mods and Admins deal with every day. WS has thousands of threads, 212,000+ members, and only 4 staff to deal with hundreds of active threads 24/7 .

Simple math ... if there are 200 members currently online and even 5% of those members feel it is okay to sneak in that innocuous little off topic post, and each of those 10 posts receives 10 responses and those responses receive even 2 responses each, that is 200 off topic posts alone that our volunteer Moderators would have to search for and remove in a day (in addition to all the other TOS violations they have to deal with).

This means that for your little post that you think is harmless, our staff have to go through pages and pages of posts to find all the responses to your OT post.

Please be courteous to other members, the families and guests reading here, and to our volunteer staff who work very hard in trying to keep the discussions respectful and on topic.

Thank you.

ADMIN NOTE:

Stop bringing rumors into this discussion, and stop stating opinion as fact.

There is no approved source to support that EC was found in the hallway.

Mods have had to remove or modsnip tons of posts based on members discussing "whispers" (i.e RUMORs) and/or members theories that contain information as fact when such "fact" is actually based on rumor.

Members who violate the above TOS are subject to a temporary or permanent loss of posting privileges.

I do not agree, respectfully. We use that term for alive people in the medical field when getting CPR certified .
Dispatch does not use it for fainting.
In CPR and in general medical notes, responsiveness is checked. "Pupils responsive to light. Patient is alert and responsive." (This would be medical notes. I was a nurse and we checked responsiveness all the time)

In dispatch/le lingo, it is not used for fainting. "Unresponsive" is often used for dead.

Seriously, if a roommate had fainted and they called EMS, would Comms Director for the Idaho State Police be talking about someone who had fainted???

On the local evening news this is a common story: Police were called to xxxx block for an unresponsive individual. The person was found with a bullet wound".

If someone faints, what happens when 911 is called???
Caller: My friend passed out
Dispatch: "Is your friend breathing"
Dispatch is then likely to provide some instructions and if things don't go well, then EMS will be dispatched, not police. Police did not not respond to a fainted person call.

I'm behind and Thread 16 just locked as I was replying ... so this may have been asked/answered already but I thought this was a good point. Do we know who was dispatched on scene - was it EMS or police? If not EMS, would that imply 911 caller knew the roommate was deceased (or the 911 operator knew from the details they were receiving)? Would that prove/disprove the question of who the 911 call was being placed for (stabbed victim or fainted roommate)?

I’m beginning to become concerned about vigilantes getting riled up and hurting someone. There’s so much rampant speculation and posting of names, photos, addresses. I feel for LE doing their best in what has become a circus.

As to why the UI is involved—money. They are likely the largest employer in the area and fuel the rest of the economy. JMO

I imagine it wasn’t just a person fainted call. It was more likely along the lines of a hysterical, screaming, sobbing person initiated the call about the downed person(s) they saw and then the friend took over and told them the caller had fainted. So the possible unresponsive person would be what the dispatcher might say.

So the neighbor says he is willing to give DNA and fingerprints, which signals that LE hasn't asked. Oversight or maybe they don't think he's involved in any way. JMO

Fox news is saying that the investigation will wrap up inside the address in the very near term. Let's hope they have something because sometimes it feels like this investigation would be no further along than if a web sleuth was in charge. Goncalves Father says he has been told crime scene was a mess, killer was sloppy, and left lots of evidence. If that's the case then who did it.

I will stop posting about the 911 calls after I just say this – – I do think it’s important for people to trust what’s being put out there by the police, and if something makes no sense whatsoever, then how is the public supposed to believe other statements they’ve made? I personally don’t need to know of course, but the people who live in that community might need to know. The police have said that they were targeted, which implies that others in the community are not in danger. If you can’t make sense of what they’re saying, how can you trust that you’re actually safe? I think there are plenty of examples where doctors and people of authority have gotten the facts wrong, especially in the case of a chaotic scene.

My opinion of what happened with the surviving roommates and the 911 call that morning:

Roommate(s) (RM) are up Sunday morning and it is strange that X is not awake and up for the day--maybe even had an event or brunch that she was expected up for. So RM knocks on X's door with no response. RM then tries to open X's bedroom door and discovers it locked. So RM then calls X's cell phone and X does not answer--but roommate can hear the phone ringing in X's bedroom (so she knows she is in there not responding). So RM then tries calling E's cell phone to see if he knows what is up with X---and the RM can then hear E's phone ringing in the locked bedroom as well. So then RM starts to get concerned and calls E's brother and frat guys that are essentially right across the street a the Frat House to see if they know anything or can come help. E's brother and frat brothers come to the house and knock on the door and call for E and X through the door with no response. So they decide to call 911 and report an unresponsive person in the bedroom. While on the phone with 911, the dispatcher directs them to try to open the locked door (this is when the phone gets passed around to different people as we know happened on the call). During the commotion on the call with 911, they eventually find a wire hanger to pop open the bedroom door and find the horror scene of their friends/sibling/brother stabbed to death in a grizzly scene. The RM and friends who are there then run out of the house and wait for police to arrive.

This scenario would account for all of the various strange facts we know about the morning and the call that seem off to all of us but seem to make sense to me.

Thoughts?
